First of all I want to say THANKS to everyone her at Cake Central for getting me back into cake decorating. I hadn't been doing cakes for years until I found CC. Now for my story ....
I WON 4 blue ribbons and BEST of SHOW, and a red (2nd) ribbon at the West Virginia State Fair last week! I was the happiest gal alive last Friday when I went up and saw how I did!!! I decorated 2 cakes, plus did a spice cake, pound cake, homemade rolls and pepperoni rolls. Also canned banana peppers. Both my decorated cakes won blue ribbons. The one that was the fair theme (blue ribbon days and nights) won BEST of SHOW!
I am not one to brag on my self (actually I usually have VERY low self-esteem), But I am so proud of myself I can hardly stand it! I worked so hard for over a week to get it all done.

I'm itching to enter our state fair but I'm kind of a chicken. But I think I will do it anyway (though I know I will not win anything!) - the experience would be good for me. 
(Though it is plenty intimidating to know I'll be up against artists like you!
