Where can one get idea books? Every time I go to a bakery or my local cake supply store, they always have books full of sample idea cakes. Where can books like this be purchased?

You can find cake decorating books at Barnes & Noble or any other book store, however, they are quite expensive. The greatest resource is the library if you are just looking for ideas. I have taken out several and just made copies of the ones that are quite intricate. EBay is also a great resource for cake decorating books. You can generally find them cheap enough that even with the added shipping costs, they are still less expensive than through a book store.

I bought almost all my books on eBay. I found many books for overseas techniques there, at great prices.

Yup!! I got a lot of books on ebay too. You can get a good deal on several books at one time.
