Okay so im making my first stacked cake, and im using buttercream frosting. do i frost before or after i stack that layers? thanks!

Frost each separately. If the cake is going to be transported you should support the bottom cake with dowel rods and put a plain cake board under the first cake. After assembly you can add all the borders & stuff.
