I have one that I used and one I'm trying out this week end.
I have to run right now but will send them to you in a couple of hours.
Do you want me to email you or post them?
Dawn

I'm sure there are more involved and better ways to make a white chocolate cake, but an easy way is to add the white chocolate pudding to a mix. I tried it this week with a French Vanilla cake and it was really good! icon_biggrin.gif

I also made one with white chocolate pudding lastnight that my family loved. Just wanted to see what others do. icon_smile.gif

Recipe for White Chocolate Cake.
Haven't tried adding pudding to a mix yet but will this weekend.

1 white cake mix
1 1/4 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
Mix together. Then add 4 oz. melted white chocolate (good quality) I've only used Ghirardelli's.

I found several recipes on Pillsbury.com.

She probably needs a scratch recipe with white chocolate not pudding mix since neither is available in the UK.

I suggest the recipe from epicurious.

Thank you for all your replies, I shall give this a go over the weekend.

Just wondering though, could I use my usual cake mix which is for a Madeira cake and then add white chocolate or would this probably not work?

I've never made a Madeira cake, but isn't it a very dense/heavy cake? The white chocolate is just cocoa butter, so very fat and will make the cake even more dense, so I'd be leary of that. If you melt your white chocolate with some cream and mix it well, it will mix into your cake batter much better. If you just add the melted white chocolate, sometimes part of it doesn't mix well and then sinks to the bottom of the cake.

Heavy (whipping cream), not sour cream. sorry for the confusion. I saw Emeril do this and explained how it mixes better and tried it and it really does!

The pink princess in my avatar is my soon to be 5 yr old Tiffany (granddaughter). I'm headed to Dallas the end of the month to make her butterfly birthday cake. This picture was taken last year at her princess party.

Do you reduce the amount of water, or milk in your recipe when you add the chocolate?
