Okay - I do not normally toot my own horn -- but I just had to share that I had received an unexpected $50 tip today on an order I had delivered.
Granted - this was my largest order yet - 250 petit fours and 250 creme puffs!! I think I stressed as much over how much to charge for them as I did in making them. I did a lot of searching on the 'pricing petit fours' thread!!
I don't want to tell you what I charged for them because I know I will be
'taken to the wood shed' for pricing them too low!!LOL!! But I am new to decorating, we are in a rural area and I had a hard enough time charging what I did. So needless to say I was extremely pleased and happy when I looked at the check after I left and saw the generous tip!! This customer has definitely been one of my best customers so far - this was her 4th order in 2 months!!
Hope everyone else had a fantastic day too!! Thanks for reading.
Suze.
That is so fabulous for you and a great compliment!
We do not charge an upfront "gratuity" for our catering like most places do. I tell my brides that a tip or gratuity is a monetary expression of thanks for service above and beyond what is already paid for, so I find it puzzling on how that can be charged up front.
Your customer obviously thinks very highly of you and sees that you go above and beyond in your creativity and service!
Good job and keep it up!
Great job!....the little big things like that always make your day a little brighter and you know your work is appreciated! if it was her 4th order in 2 months you must be doing a great job and she must have wanted to thank you for doing so repeatedly!!!!
