I heard you don't want to freeze a cake with fondant. When you take it out the next day, the moisture from the condensate while it's thawing will ruin your fondant covering.

Hope that helps! Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

I didn't even think about NOT being able to freeze my cake with MMF. So I did it and it didnt ruin the MMF, (and mine had bright colors) it did leave it with moisture drops that made the fondant shiny. No one but me new the difference.

Hope my experience helps you some. I don't know about the other types of fondant but that was my experience with MMF.

I have read in an article/interview with Colette Peters that she does freeze her fondant cakes by wrapping the cake in plastic and putting in a box.

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna try it. The fondant is all one color covering a round cake, so I don't think it will hurt much.

Thanks,

G
