hi! i'm in desperate need of an amaretto cake recipe stable enough for a 4 tiered wedding cake. can anyone help?
Sorry, I can't help but would love to know myself
What about this:
Reduce you liquid on you standard cake mix by around 1/4 c. and add Amaretto liqueor. This should work. I use amaretto and Frangelico in a lot of my cooking.
To add to what chefmumbo wrote, you can laso replace 1/4 of the flour with almond flour (almonds ground in a food processor) along with the liquid replacement, that will give you a well rounded flavor.
There is a great almond cake recipe in The Cake Bible. Or a financier recipe will also work!
could you make it with Amaretto coffee creamer? Not sure if it would work but maybe someone here can tell us
