I am planning on making a small number 1 cake for my son's first b-day for his 'smash cake'. Can anyone share pics or advice for me? I'm making it this weekend. Thanks!

How about 1 candle as a cake? Make a cute candle as a little cake.
Member: newtocakes has adorable candles on 1 of her cakes... and there are other cute candles on this site.

WHAT? I don't understand what you mean, pastrypuffgirl!! Sometimes I am hard at following things..... icon_smile.gif

If you don't have a pan, I would just cut it out of a small round cake or some pan that you wouldn't waste too much cake. If you do sculpt it, make sure that you freeze it a little or glaze it with that apricot glaze so that it is easy to ice. I love small smash cakes they are too cool!!!! I couldn't find any examples of any on the web, but I 'll keep looking and maybe someone else will. Keep us posted!
