I used the no fail cookie recipe. The cookie taste fine, but they are so hard. Was wondering since I don't have a mixer is it possible that I over mixed and/or knead my dough. I need them to be firm enough to stay on the stick, but not so hard that you think you'll break a tooth.... icon_biggrin.gif

Are you cooking them too long? My cookies are just under 1/2 inch thick and I cook them until I see a tint of brown. Hope this helps.

I usually don't even let mine get browned. I make them quite thick to. Maybe 1/4 inch. There not soft butthere not hard. If your cutting shapes, you want them to be firm enough to hold their shape while baking.
