AI am making a pillow cake for a client and she has requested chocolate. I currently use CollettePeters chocolate cake recipe but find it too soft around the edges and it crumbles easy so don't think it would stand up. Anyone have a recipe I can use that is similar to hers? It's my go to chocolate cake recipe!!:

so are you allergic to box mix cakes? if so this won't work but i did a brownie bottom cheesecake as one layer and for the layer under that i used an ice cream cake -- where you mix a cake mix with a 16oz (melted) pint of ice cream and three eggs -- it comes out heavy enough to balance with the bbcc  and not as dense as a pound cake -- it was perfect --

i just used chocolate ice cream and add cream or milk to make it a full 16 oz if necessary -- oh dang it's calibrated for the larger size cake mix too -- what were those 18.25 ounces?

don't hate me if you don't like cake mixes :-D
