Hello

I want to make a Kekeshi Dolls 3D sculpted cake.

Has anyone built one of these?

What do you think the best building method?

I would think the head may need to be Rice crispies?

Any hints, much appreciated.

Thanks

no i've never made one but idk -- i think i'd rather have the body be rkt and the head out of cake -- just depends on how big you're gonna make it -- but the bigger it is the the more i'd lean to rkt for the body -- i'd just think of the body as the stand and the cake sitting on top...kind of ;)

Well had a bit of a disaster.

Used a Victorian sponge recipe (which I used the week before in a giant cupcake), the first bake was good, the second the cake just turned into a buttery mess. The cake looked cooked but inside was a hollow buttery mess. So had  to make another cake in a hurry, by the time it cooled I had about 1 hour to shape and make the cake.

I used the Giant cupcake bottom x 2 for the body and Carved rice crispies for head.

She wasn't perfect, but I think for my first 3D attempt with an hour to make, it could have been worse.
