I have a large Kenwood that I use if I need to do a double batch of something (my Kitchen Aid can only handle a recipe and a half icon_sad.gif!). I rarely use it as I love my Kitchen Aid, but I use setting 4-5 on that for buttercream, so I would say 3 on the Kenwood. HTH!

I used to have 2 Kenwoods. I liked the way they worked, but they sounded like a jet landing on the kitchen counter. I used the Mix speed the most.

is yours the 7qt bowl, thats a deep bowl, you'll want to make sure to make at least a double batch so the icing comes up to the top of the flat part of the paddle, i also miix on 3-4 speed.

They are loud aren't they?! Also the stupid cord placement means I have to use it the opposite way around to my KA, which really annoys me! Also it never quite gets the bits at the bottom, no matter how much I adjust the paddle height - grrr.

I am taking it that Kenwood is the better of both Kenwood and Kitchenaid, would this be correct?
I need to buy a new one as my Kenwood has left us after 30 years!
