Hi, I am trying to find the sugar bottle tutorial that I read about and can't find it on the site. Does anyone know where it is. I found a mold for sugar bottles but it is 50.00$. Anyone know how to make a silicone mold or where I could find a mold cheaper.

thanks

Silicone Plastique can be used very successfully to create beer bottle molds. One of the first sugar artists to make sugar beer bottles simply applied Silicone Plastique over a little more than half of a beer bottle and allowed it to cure. This type of mold is easy to use because you will have a completely open back that you can pour your sugar into. The sugar bottle that comes out of this mold is also open on the back which is placed in the cake with this open side facing away from view. To make a complete bottle mold you would need to make a two sided mold. I have a step by step tutorial showing the whole process on my website. Go To: http://www.makeyourownmolds.com/how-to-make-two-part-mold

In the pictorial I am making a mold of a candle, but the process is entirely the same. You can also make a two sided bottle mold using Silicone Spread. Go To: http://www.makeyourownmolds.com/how-to-make-two-piece-mold

Hope This Helps.

Dominic
