Hello,

I am baking a wedding cake and the bride wants diamantes on the cake to give it a bit of sparkle... what is the best method for this?

I have looked into the edible diamante's available and have decided against them as they are known to loose their sparkle and glaze over if standing for a long period of time.

The other option is to buy non-edible diamante's, with this I can either buy the diamante's on long pins that can be stuck into the cake, or just the heads and stick them on with royal icing.

I am really worried that the caterers won't remove them properly and someone will eat one...! icon_surprised.gif

If anyone has done this before please can someone advise me on the best method?

Kind Regards,

Anabel
