Friday Faves: Coffee, Cats and a Safari Cake

Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!

As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.

Here are our faves of the week:

Coffee, coffee, coffee! I love it when a cake looks so real I have to click on a photo thumbnail to find out if it’s actually cake! Galagonya has an incredible talent for realistic details, from the colors to the textures and shapes. This cake deserves a gold medal!

I love this vintage-style circus cake by KelseyCakes The little details on this cake are just wonderful, such as the elephant holding up a tiny cake with it’s trunk and the use of gelatin bubbles as balloons. This was a no-brainer for the Top Circus Theme Cakes!

I really adore this romantic cake by Saskialala. The idea is so cute and the sunset colors are gorgeous. It would be perfect for an anniversary or special occasion.

You might have noticed by now that I love adorable animals on cakes, and naturally, teeny82’s cake caught my attention. Isn’t it fun?

ModernLovers’ petite cake is so simple yet elegant. Gold and teal were the perfect colors for this little cake.
