Mediterraneantile Cookies
Mediterranean Tile Cookies, decorated with royal icing and patterns on the white diamond pieces are handpainted. I am inspired by @cookiecrazie’s “Cathedral Window Quilt Pattern” cookies. But I wanted to create a tile set using the same pattern. I decided to go with royal blue thinking that blue will give a more Mediterranean look. As you will notice there are 12 round cookies, 12 mini white diamond shape and 12 mini blue eye shape cookies in the set. Having detached mini cookies also allows me to play with the shape overall, I can form the cookies as a square, rectangle or a triangle. Hope you like them

Hamsa Hand Cookies
The Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolising the Hand of God (known as Hand of Fatima and Hand of Miriam). It's a common symbol in both Muslim and Jeeish communities. In all faiths it is a protective sign. It brings its owner happiness, luck, health and good fortune. I especially picked up these cookies as my first entry to Cake Central because of the meaning they possess. I wish lots of love, happiness, luck, health, good fortune and peace for all of my fellow bakers and makers in 2017.
