Turkish Tea For Two - A Sugar Artist's Tea Party

What happens when a group of Sugar Artists come together for a Tea Party? Something stunningly beautiful is created! I was honored to be a part of it . . . This is my contribution to the Sugar Artist’s Tea Party Collab My piece is based off the South Eastern European & Middle Eastern Tea Traditions which were heavily influenced by the Ottoman Empire . . . Turkish Tea for Two. I didn’t think the piece would be complete without a few pieces of authentic dessert so I whipped up some (real) homemade Lebanese style Baklava and “fondant” Turkish Delight. Being that this collab debuted on the 1st day of Spring, I felt it only appropriate to include a modeling chocolate rose. Check out more of the collab at their facebook page:

Hope, Love & Peace . . . Cake Against Violence Collaboration

Shortly after the deadly attacks in Paris, Beirut & other parts of the World, 80 Cake Artists came together to create a moment of peace & sweetness. I was honored to participate, as this truly embodies a universal message of peace, solidarity and anti-violence. It must be the idealist in me that continues to hope for worldwide peace & love as that's what my contribution is inspired by - the thought that through the darkness of these tragedies, we hope for worldwide unity, love and peace. A white lily is used in to represent hope, a red rose for love and a white dove for peace. I tried to incorporate as many languages and flags as those that represent my fellow collab members & areas of the world affected by violence. The Frostington Cakery - Christmas In Frostington Collaboration

The Christmas Collaboration is BACK! Welcome to the Frostington Cakery in Frostington! Christmas in Frostington is home to over 100 Bakers from all over the globe – a collaboration WITH A DIFFERENCE!. People from around the world who have come together to bake up a storm for CHARITY ! . . . and not just 1 charity, but THREE! Alzheimer’s Society, Australia’s Melanoma Research Foundation, and Icing Smiles. I first became involved with the Christmas Collaboration last year when we Baked a Christmas Wish for The Make a Wish Foundation. We raised over $12,500! With those funds, two young children’s Wishes came true. After that, I was hooked! Hooked on Collabs for Charity! To say that it was an honor to be asked do it again is truly an understatement. When that invite came, there was no second thought – HECK YEAH! SIGN ME UP was my reaction! When the time came to select our village pieces, my nerves were shot! What would I pick!?!?!?!?
