James's Christening Cake
I made this cake for my grandson James who was christened yesterday. Triple layer vanilla cake filled with raspberry flavoured white ganache . I endeavoured to make my FIRST bassinet cake WITH HOOD but things didn't go to plan! I made the hood and left it to dry out for 5 days, but it never firmed up, so it's back to the drawing board on that one!!! Fast forward onto plan B here - which I think turned out fine! Teddies baby and name , and roped edges on cake are made from gum paste.

3" High Numbers Template
I had a light bulb moment in a BRICK-A-BRAC shop recently....when I. came across these 3" high brass numerals! I Arranged them on an A4 Sheet of copy paper, and took this picture ....which I printed. out.... to determine the actual size on paper. Selecting the FULL Page Photo option....displays numbers near enough their original 3"size. Selecting the HALF Page Photo option.... will display numbers approximately 1½" high. Thought that I would share the "Font Style" and "Number Sizes" with other CC Members! 3" High Numbers template

Wedding Cake
UPDATE! Lovely photo received from Justin & Karen of their wedding cake at reception. The bride and groom topper made from gum paste, was a surprise from the bride's best friend and bridesmaid Dorothy, who also sourced the miniature Baby Grand Piano on bottom tier. Dorothy did a FABULOUS job on cake topper - and overall presentation!!!

Mary's 60Th Birthday Cake
I made this cake for a chocoholic friend! Inspired by other pictures on Cake Central. Rich dark chocolate fudge cake, dark chocolate ganache filling with crushed Ferrero Rocher added. Chocolate gananche under dark chocolate fondant. Tissue paper made from fondant, and bow from gumpaste. This was my first attempt at a BOX type of cake! Had fun making it and enjoyed the challenge!

Fionn's 1St Birthday Cake
I made this FUN to be ONE cake for my grandson Fionn's 1st Birthday. Double layer chocolate fudge cake with a chocolate ganache filling. I then covered the cake with chocolate ganache. which I also used for the shell piping detail - added the Smarties for colour and texture. White chocolate and milk chocolate Kit Kat bars on sides. Lettering and number is made from gumpaste. The top of cake was covered with white fondant, finished with a Mickey Mouse topper - a printed edible image.

Type Of Cutter Used
I tried to reproduce this pattern in response to a query from 1HeartCupcakes. I used a single petal cutter and arranged the cutouts in sets of four - to copy the side design on a cake, from the photo uploaded by 1HeartCupcakes. - This was done in a hurry, but hope that it is of help!!!

50Th Golden Wedding Anniversary
I made this 3 tier round cake for friend's 50th wedding anniversary. The celebration invitation was the inspiration for the overall ondantdesign. Cakes are covered with ivory fondant. Roses are made from flower paste and edges brushed with gold lustre dust. I used clickstix for lettering, and sicilcone moulds for 3d shapes, finished with colour mist and hand painted with edible gold paint. I used a very fine basketweave rolling pin to emboss the fondant on the plaque and cake board. I really enjoyed doing this cake and to share the experience with others on Cake Cenral.
