Sea Green Fantasy Dream
"Sea green fantasy dream" I was very honoured and thankful when I was asked to make a cake for the winter edition of DIY Weddings Magazine USA back in august. I am proud to say that my cake has been featured with the other 49 talented cake artists from around the world. I was given a gorgeous colour pallet to work with and I’ve picked the dominant color from the color palette, which was turquoise, to use as the base color for the cake. I’ve been waiting for quite some time to find the opportunity to apply the ombre style to the turquoise ruffles. Turquoise matches nicely with gold, so I decided to combine the ruffles with golden lace fantasy flowers. This was my creation which I named Sea green fantasy dream. I loved the end result and hope you also like it. xxx Riany

Black Friday Ruffles Birthday Cake
What if your birthday is on black friday? Then you order a black cake, of course! This lady gave me all the freedom to design as long as the cake would be all black. I covered the cake with black ruffles and added some silver accents. The big white flower with silver leafs is an extra addition to make the cake just a bit more exciting and classy. I hope you enjoyed ! Riany

Blue And Brown Wedding Cake
This is the wedding cake I delivered last saturday. For this wedding cake I got my inspiration from the wedding invitation of the couple. They wanted something untraditional, so I incorporated shades of blue, brown and different patterns into the cake to make it more personal but it’s also the perfect cake for this time of year. The cake was decorated with multiple fantasy flowers and roses. Thank you for looking. xxx Riany

Let's Get Gold !
This is it. You have just married the love of your life in a beautiful garden. You can almost smell the love in the air This time I wanted to get my inspiration from the bride herself. I incorporated the peach inspired florals, she also wore in her hair, in the cake to make it more personal. The second tier is covered in edible gold to give the cake a vintage-looking vibe. There's nothing more to say, just take a look and let the cake speak for itself. xxx Riany

Before The Fall
Everything that a traditional wedding cake isn’t supposed to be, but everything a cake needs to look fantastic. What one would normally use to decorate, you don’t see on this cake. Here the green flowers are the centre of attention. One look at this cake and you’re thinking of an afternoon when you’re sitting outside and soaking up the sun while the green leaves are rustling in the wind. The succulent and chevron take traditional to another level and the dark green, white and brown colors make a nice contrast while balancing each other out at the same time. xxx Riany

Black And Gold Wedding Cake
An amazing wedding cake for a fabulous couple surrounded by a wonderful scenery at Landgoed Te Werve in Rijswijk (the Netherlands). I was very honoured when two great friends asked me to make their wedding cake. A special cake in Black and Gold for a special couple, yet it had to be stylish and chique. The three of us designed the cake and I must say the end result is simple smashing!! Especially, the second tier of 24 carat of gold leaves. xxx Riany

Escher In Summertime
This cake was delivered at a beautiful majestical location in the centre of the Hague (the Netherlands). It’s difficult to cover squire cakes in this warm weather especially if they are quit big. Usually I covered the cake with one rolled out piece of fondant. Because of the size of the middle tier, I have decided, for the first time, to cover the middle tier with panels of fondant. The client was very specific about the color, it just had to be turquoise! I’m pleased with how the cake turned out. xxx Riany

Princesses Tower Birthday Cake
This is the first time I have covered the cake with marzipan instead of fondant. I think it is probably the last time . Marzipan has a rough structure. I could not make the cake as smooth as with fondant. Due to the warm weather there was also a high humidity, which complicated things . Nevertheless I am happy how the cake has turned out.

Super Moms Collaboration - Phalaenopsis
am so grateful and blessed to part of 50 other amazing and talented cake decorators in this floral collaboration. We each chose a flower to create a cake to honour the amazing women we call our Mums and in the end we had a garden for all Moms out there. This special collaboration project was revealed on Mother’s Day 2014 and it was an amazing journey. I chose the Phalaenopsis (Orchid) as token of my appreciation of my own mum. She’s living an odd 15.000 miles away from me and regretfully I don’t have the opportunity to see her every year. I must say … I had my moments during the realization of this project, because I miss my mum a lot. Her backyard is loaded with this beautiful flower. I’ve met fabulous people and discovered amazing talent. It’s been an awesome experience to be among the very best in the industry… Hope you all like it .. xx Riany

Bali Themed Wedding Cake
Friends have asked me to make an elegant, yet a traditional Bali themed wedding cake to celebrate their eternal love. No temples or beaches, but still the cake should radiate an oriental look and feel. A bouquet of frangipani, the most popular flower in Bali, with a delicate touch of gold and oriental-styled ornaments created the effect I was looking for. Stylish and warm! My very first oriental wedding cake is a fact, yes I’m more than proud. xx Riany

Parisian Themed Birthday Cake
Lauren’s very last birthday party at high school just had to be a special one. Yes she is 18 years now ! A lot of her classmates were invited, so she was expecting a jaw-dropping cake . Well how could I deny? The choice was easy, as Paris is one of her favourite cities, it just had to be a parisian themed cake. They loved it! It’s a rich moist chocolate cake with chocolate cream and cherry pie filling. xxx Riany

"to Where You Are"
Not every cake needs a cheerful event. This cake was created to honor a wonderful man who recently passed away. I was touched by the family’s request and I’m grateful that I’ve been offered the opportunity to make this cake. The sea along with the beach and the sea gulls was the requested theme. There was this sentence on the mourning card “Flown away but still in our heart”, that made me think of a song of Josh Groban “ To Where You are” . This song seems to give a lot of comfort to a lot of people. I do hope that the cake had just a bit of the same comfort for the family. To Where You Are! xx Riany
