Spider
Made this for Bug Day at my 4-year-old's preschool. Used half of the sportsball for the body and a small circle cut from a sheet cake with a biscuit cutter for the head. Legs are black licorice glued down with buttercream. Learned that if I iced the body in black first then any gaps in the stars wouldn't show. Kids apprarently liked it, all that came home was an empty box!

Froggy
Made this for Froggy Day at my 3-year-old's preschool. Used an 8-inch round for body, eyes are two rounds cut from a sheet with a biscuit cutter and legs are cut from the sheet using a Wilton template. And the tongue is bubblegum tape :) The kids and teachers adored it! I learned that if I iced the cake in green beforehand, basically a crumb coat, then any gaps in the stars wouldn't show.

Wedding Shower Cake
This was my first attempt at a three-tier wedding shower cake. It's iced in pink buttercream with pink and brown fondant polka dots and Xs and Os. Topper is candy melt lollipops. I would have liked to get the icing smoother, but I think it's an OK first effort :) Cake tasted great, French Vanilla with raspberry cream filling.
