Bbq Grill Cake For Fathers Day
I made this cake for my husband, and his dad for fathers day. I made a checkered board base out of fondant. Both cakes are buttercream. I used fondant to make the cheeseburgers and the hotdogs. I used fondant to make the spatula and pitchfork also. I also used gumpaste to make the handles and the monogram for the front of the lid.

90Th Flag Birthday Cake
I made this for my grandfathers 90th birthday, and since he was a wounded veteran, I decided to make the 90 into an american flag. I made the cake board out of fondant to represent a wood floor. The whole cake is butterceam. I added fondant roses, and fondant banners to give some added detail. There is also chocolate american flags and eagles around the side of the cake as well.

Mothers Day Cake
I made this cake for my mom for mothers day. I used a heart shaped baking pan with 2 layers. then I made buttercream tinted yellow. I used the basket weave technique around the side of the cake. Then I used green tinted icing with the grass tip. I piped grass around the base of the cake, and on top of the cake. I made gumpaste calla lillies for the top of the cake. I made 3 large, and 3 small with the wilton calla lilly kit. Then I made 6 leaves with the leaf cutout, and placed them on the cake first. Then I added the calla lillies on top. She really loved this cake, her favorite part is the grass, she says it looks so real.

Bell Bottom Pants
I made this cake for my moms birthday, since she loves everything about being a hippie. I used an 11 x 15 cake pan, and then carved the cake to look like bell bottoms. Once I carved the cake, I iced it with wiltons buttercream recipe and let it cool in the fridge. Once it was cooled, I then added another layer of blue tinted buttercream to resemble blue jeans. I also made a couple gumpaste flowers, using the large daisy cutout. I used the leaf tip to make leaves around the flowers, and trimmed the pockets with small flowers made from the small daisy cutout. I then outlined the cake with an orange border. She loved the cake, this was my first carved cake, so overall a good experience.

Fishing/beach Cake
I did this cake for my husbands 30th birthday. His two favorite hobbies are fishing and surfing, so I tried to incorporate both. I used 2 11 x 15 cakes to make the cake, and then added a half of another 11 x 15 to make the cake a little longer. I used wiltons buttercream recipe. Once I iced it, I let it cool in the fridge to make it easier to work with, since it was a lot of cake. I tinted the icing blue, and then iced half the cake to make it look like water, and for the other half of the cake I used crushed graham crackers to make it look like sand. I then used a boat mold and fondant to make the fishing boat, and then painted it with food coloring and vodka. I made fishing poles out of bamboo skewers, and painted them brown. I attached string to one side, and attached the other side of the string to a toothpick and out it in the cake. I added a small fondant bobber on top to cover the toothpick. I then used chocolate molds to make the sanddollars, surfboards, fish, and the shrimp, then painted them with food coloring and vodke. I made the palm trees out of gumpaste, and used a leaf cutout. I put each leaf cutout on top of a skewer to make the center look 3D, and then I cut the leaf to make it look like a palm tree leaf. I attached the five leaves together and let them dry overnight. Once dry I put them ontop of a pretzel rod for the tre trunk. Then I made coconuts out of fondant. The graham crackers were messy, but the overall effect looked like sand, my husband loved it. It was the talk of the party.

Peace Sign Cake
I made this cake for my moms birthday, because she loves peace signs. I used 2 large round baking pans to form the peace sign. I then used a template and traced out the peace sign. I used the buttercream from wilton, and iced the cake , and then let it cool in the fridge. I tinted the frosting yellow and orange, since these are her favorite colors. I did the outline of the peace sign using the star tip, and yellow frosting, and I did the inside of the peace sign with the star tip, with the orange frosting. I then used the leaf tip to make leaves all the way around the cake. I also used the small daisy cutout and gumpaste to make small flowers to go around the cake. My mom loved this cake, and since she loved it so much it is still in her freezer, she refuses to cut into it. She is looking for a way to preserve it forever, any suggestions on how to do that would be awesome.

Easter Basket Cakes
I made 2 identical easter basket cakes. I used 3 10 inch cakes stacked to form the basket. I then cut out some of the top of the cake to make room for the easter eggs. I used buttercream from the wilton website to ice the cake, and then let it cool. Once my cake was cooled, I tinted the buttercream brown, and used the basketweave tip all around the cake to make it look like a basket. Then I used the star tip to make the border around the top of the cake. I also tinted the buttercream green, and used the grass tip along the bottom of the cake, and on the top of the cake. I made easter aggs out of fondant, and then painted them with food coloring and vodka, then let them dry. I also used the daisy cutout to make small flowers to go on the basket of the cake. I used the leaf tip to make leaves on the side of the cake, and then attached the flowers. I had to use the handle of an actual easter basket, because the one I made was too heavy, and it would have destroyed the cake. I painted it brown, and then piped leaves, and flowers on the top.

Dora Birthday Cake
I made this second dora princess cake for my daughters 3rd birthday party. I used 2 11 x 15 inch cakes for the base of the cake. Then I used 1 10inch cake for the base of Dora's dress, and a glass bowl for the top of her dress. I used buttercream icing from wiltons website. I dyed it pink, purple, and green. I used the star tip for dora's dress, and then I used the grass tip to make grass all over the base of the cake. I also used the star tip to write happy birthday Jasmine. I used gumpaste to make all of the flowers which went all around the base of the cake. I used the large daisy cutout for the white flowers, the medium daisy cutout for the pink and purple flowers, and then the small daisy cutout for the flowers around dora's dress. She wanted a bigger cake than the first Dora cake I had done, and she loved this one even more.

Dora Birthday Cake
I made this dora cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. I used 2 10 inch round cakes for the base of the cake, then I used 1 10 inch cake for the bottom of her dress. Then I used a glass bowl to get the round shape for the top of her dress. Once assembled, I used a dora princess doll, and inserted the doll into the center of the cake. I then made my buttercream frosting from the wilton website. I tinted it purple, pink, and green. I used a star tip for her dress, and alternated purple and pink for the entire dress. I then used the green frosting for the bottom of the cake for the flowers. I used the leaf tip to pipe leaves all around the base of the cake. I made gumpaste flowers using the large daisy cutout for the big flowers, and then I used the small daisy cutout for the small flowers around her dress. I also made leaves with the leaf cutout and placed them around the entire base of the cake. Once assembled, this was the cake my daughter had asked for, and she loved it.
