Shoe Fantasy
This was my only entry this year in the Queen City Cake and Sugar Art Show held this past week-end at the Cincinnati Home & Garden Show. I brought it all the way from Florida! I was so glad that it arrived in one piece and was very happy to win first place ribbon for the fashion category. All fondant covered, air-brushed design on the purple cake, brush embroidery on the blue cake. All shoes and fantasy flowers are gumpaste and hand formed. Fondant covered board. TFL!

Willy Wonka & Chocolate Factory
Three layers of chocolate cake frosted with buttercream and sprayed yellow. Fondant accents. The hat is rice krispie treats covered with fondant. The chocolate river is chocolate fondant. The green "hills" are mini-ball cakes frosted with the grass tip. Lots of real candy accents. This was for a boy who starred as Willy Wonka in a play at school. Designed by my daughter Tanya - we decorated together. TFL!

Wizard Of Oz
Birthday cake for my granddaughter's 6th birthday. My daughter TeeSue and I decorated this together. The cake is carved to represent the yellow brick road, frosted with buttercream and air-brushed yellow. The ruby slippers are made from gumpaste sprinkled with red sanding sugar. The poppies are gumpaste, as are the witch's hat and broom. The rainbow, characters, and emerald city are gumpaste plaques with edible images. The lollipops are candy and Toto is a cookie. We also made individually wrapped cookies to give out at the party. TFL!
