Superhero Cake!
This cake was made for a 4 year old's birthday party. The bottom tier is red velvet with cream cheese filling. The top tier is funfetti with vanilla pudding. The hulk's fist was shaped out of RKT, iced and covered in fondant. The brick look on the bottom tier was created with an impression mat on white fondant which was then rubbed over with red gel coloring on a paper towel. I then went over it again with black coloring to give it that worn down look. The rest of the details were done in fondant. And the figures were bought from toys r us as requested so that the birthday boy could play with them afterward. This cake was a bit time consuming but overall a lot of fun to make and everyone loved it! TFL!

Crayon Cake Pops!
These were also made for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. Let me just say, they were not easily made! I used instruction from the wilton cake pop book. They are very time consuming to make, but so worth it! If you look closely you will see they are nowhere near flawless but cute nonetheless. Everyone loved them! TFL :)

I love these! They were made to go with the hello kitty cake I posted and I learned how to make them by bakerella's instructions. They were a lot of work, and I've learned I'm not a cake pop professional lol, but I'm pleased with them. And the birthday girl loved them too! TFL!

Witche's Brew Cake!
This cake was made for a kids Halloween party! I used the flower shaped wilton pan for the "pumpkin" cake, and covered it in orange fondant dusted over with brown edible dust. The figures and other decorations are all fondant. This idea is from a children's cake book by Maisie Parrish. As Halloween is my favorite holiday, this cake definitely ranks at the top of my favorites list! The kids loved it! TFL!

Italian Pasta Dinner Cake!
This cake was done for a school function. The themed dinner was Italian pasta and wine. The bottom tier is covered with a "table cloth" made of fondant to act as the table. Each red square was strategically placed, whew lol. The top tier is covered in white fondant. The Italian flag, pasta bowl, grapes, meatballs and sauce are made from fondant. The pasta in the bowl is actually piped buttercream icing! Now this was my first attempt at a wine bottle, and since I don't have the molds to make it, I rolled out gumpaste and layed it over a wine bottle, cut out half the shape, let it dry and repeated. I attached both pieces with a strip of fondant on the inside and used royal icing to glue the halves together. Then I sprayed it with edible spray, and edible lacquer for a sheen. I used foil paper for the top, and fondant and an edible marker for the label. Overall, I think it came out well for a first try. TFL :)
