Mad hatter's hat for a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland themed tea party.
I used several different techniques on this cake. The top tier has a gumpaste sun colored with luster dusts and then silhouettes were painted. The top tier was painted with various shades of food color, background detalis were drawn on with a food color marker. Trees, foliage and vines are gumpaste, fondant, chocolate, and buttercream. The bottom tier is air brushed then decorated with fondant, buttercream and sugar work.

This is a geocaching bison tube birthday cake. Geocaching is a worldwide GPS based scavenger hunt. This cake is an enlarged replication of a cache hide. If you're curious, look it up.
Animal print cake in blue and brown for a safari themed baby shower. Hand cut the giraffes. Cricut Cake used for the plaque and "its a boy" :)
All of those "bullets" are sculpted tootsie rolls. I also used cast chocolate guns. You won't mind biting these bullets ;)
Usually I only use edible decorations but in this case I used some of the client's vintage toys from her childhood. I printed photos of her favorite cartoon characters on a frosting sheet and applied them to gumpaste. Ah, to be a child of the 80's :) <3
This wedding cake is covered with hand sculpted, embossed, and painted gumpaste leaves. I'm a little disappointed with the pictures because the leaves were dusted with luster dust and in person they had beautiful depth and movement especially as you walked past them.
