He was fun to do, had a few issues with him but think he turned out ok. He's a vanilla cake I carved by hand. I had to cover him in panels as the fondant just did to want to go on in one piece! All cae and edible.

18Th Topsy Turvy Cake

My first ever Topsy Turvy cake! 2 tiers, hand carved and decorated with all hand made decorations. Bottom cake is coffee with irish cream frosting and the top is Mocha Mudcake with Chocolate Ganache. The lipstick and flowers are made from a mix of fondant and flower/gum paste and the martini glass, numbers and cocktail umbrella are made from flower/gum paste. This cake gave me plenty of hassle but I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. There are plenty of bits I wish were better but I now at least have some experience with topsy turvy's now!

This is my first attempt at a gum paste shoe made to go with my topsy turvy cake but as I made it in advance I didn't have it scaled correctly so it was a little big! I really enjoyed making it and plan to keep on practicing.

Baby Boy Christening Cake

A 12 Inch Square Vanilla cake covered in rolled icing with flower paste lettering and a hand piped pram detail. The pram image is copied for a 'shabby chic' style image provided by the customer. The lines look wobbly in the picture for some reason but didn't in person!

Top 2 tiers are dummies as the bride wanted the tiered look but without the waste. Bottom cake is 10 inch vanilla cake. Moth orchids are artificial and supplied by the bride to match her bouquet.
