Aunt Herta's Flower Power
this is the saddest cake I've ever made. even if I love the design (thx to peggy porschen) I wish I could have made it for another reason. my friend's aunt suffers from cancer. so the girls planned to make a party for her to cheer her up for the last few months )-; vanilla sponge filled with strawberry cream cheese (wilton heart shape pan). covered with fondant. stripes, flowers and butterflies made from royal icing.

Marguerite Heart
this is a real 1st time cake. I made it april or may 2010. everything I tried out the very first time. it was the 1st time I ever worked with fondant (and forgot to put buttercream under it), the 1st time I shaped a cake into something different (the heart came out ok), the 1st time I used that marguerite molds (love them) and the first time I used that ornament stamp set (totally don't like it).

Spring Love No.1
friends had their 24. wedding anniversary in may. their kids asked me to do some cake. this is what came out ;-) cake and cake-board covered with fondant, marguerite flowers made from gum-paste. they just loved it so much, that they didn't cut in for about 3 or 4 days. I was soooooo scared the keylime-creamcheese filling turned bad - BUT it was still ok ;-) it fed a party of 25.

Store Opening
this cake was for a store opening of "Tschibo" (slightly comparable to starbucks). this company's slogan is "jede Woche eine neue Welt" that's "every week a complete new world". because they change their products every week. my version of their member-cards I did in royal icing painted chocolate pads and did fan them out around the cake. its a mascarpone-coffee-cream filled chocolate batter.

in austria it's not usual to make a bridal shower, but very common to do a wedding-eve party! this was a custom cake. don't know why the "no" at the end - some kind of running gag ;-) it's a chocolaty chocolate cake. two different chocolate batters (dark and middle-brown) filled with a yummi chocolate ganache (creme parisienne), 1st layer buttercream, 2nd layer fondant, handwritten words from royal icing, letters coloured with silver and gold, cakeboard-ribbon and cake-ribbon both silver satin.

this was a gluten-free and lactose-free cake for my sister in law's 15th wedding anniversary. because of celiac disease of aunt and niece it's a gluten-free cake batter filled with lactose-free keylime-cream. covered with buttercream (LF) and fondant and decorated with handmade flowers made from royal icing.

50Th Wedding Anniversary
this cake I made for my parents in law 50. wedding anniversary. 3rd and 4th layer are a blueberry-creamcheese-filled (heart shape pan of wilton) yellow cake made with spelt (cause of wheat-intolerance). everything covered in buttercream and than fondant. decoration is made of royal icing. it's finished with a satin ribbon (1st two layers are dummies).
