Outer Space Birthday Cake
I got to try a new recipe for this one. Orange Creamsicle Cake with orange flavored buttercream. This was supposed to be a 2 tiered cake, but she changed her mind at the last minute. All decorations are mmf painted with food coloring/vanilla mix. There are a couple of planets and more stars around the side, I just didn't take any pics of those. TFL!

Butterfly Wedding Cake
This was for my SIL's wedding this past weekend. I traveled 7 hours to make it in less than 24 hours in my MIL's kitchen. It's Italian Cream Cake, 12", 10", and 8" tiers. The chocolate butterflies were made by my SIL because she said of herself, "I'm a control freak." Lol It's not near as smooth or put together as I usually like it, but she loved it and I got lots of compliments on the look and taste. And for putting it together as quickly as I did, I can't complain. :) TFL!

Olivia Birthday Cake
White cake (10" and 6" tiers) with buttercream, covered in mmf. The red stripes and borders are also mmf. I used royal icing on a stencil to get the damask pattern. It was my first time to use a stencil, and with the help of my husband, I think it turned out nicely. The Olivia figure was provided by the customer. TFL!

Dr. Suess Birthday Cake
This was for my son's class to celebrate summer birthdays. The theme of the class is Dr. Suess, and I've been wanted to make one of these cakes all year. I finally got the chance! White cake with buttercream. The characters and sign are gumpaste, and I used edible ink markers to draw and color each piece. The kids were really excited when I brought it in the room, and the teacher loved it,too! Makes it all worth it! TFL!

Candy Castle Cake With Repunzelle
Another candy castle cake- I think it's my 4th. This one, though, has purple towers and Repunzelle and friends toys (provided by customer). I put scotch tape along the back of Repunzelle's hair so it would not get stuck in the icing. White cake with strawberries 'n' cream mousse filling, covered in buttercream and decorated with 9 different types of candy. TFL!

Deer/duck Cake
The customer asked for deer and ducks, since her husband likes to hunt. Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing, covered in fondant. The ducks, water, and rocks are mmf. The deer is gumpaste/fondant mix. The trees are gumpaste covered in royal icing. I originally planned for the deer to be standing, but I found that much more difficult than I anticipated, and I ran out of time. I got the inspiration for this cake from many other CCer's, so thank you! TFL!

The customer asked for a pink and purple topsy turvy cake fit for a princess. White cake with buttercream, covered and decorated with mmf. I think this is my 5th topsy turvy cake, but I am still learning! I always love how they turn out but hate the process of getting there! Lol TFL!

For a 10 yr old girl. I was given a napkin for the color scheme and left to create my own design. Chocolate cake with buttercream, decorated with mmf. The flowers, which I've been wanting to try for awhile, are fondant/gumpaste mix. She was very happy with it, and so was I! TFL!

Topsy Turvy With Horses
The little girl wanted a topsy turvy cake with green and blue colors, with horses. This is what I came up with. The horses are store bought, the only inedible part of the cake. White cake with buttercream, covered and decorated in mmf. The trees on the side of the cake are mmf detailed with a veining tool and painted with a food coloring/vodka mix. I really like how they turned out, and the customer loved the cake! TFL!
