Pirate Ship Cake For My Sons 5Th Birthday Sails Are Made Out Of Gumpaste And Everything Else Fondant Has A Disaster The Day Before Him
Pirate ship cake for my son's 5th birthday. Sails are made out of gumpaste and everything else fondant. Has a disaster the day before him party when the entire bow of the ship fell off (cake was just not strong enough to support decorations despite dowel supports). I used approximate 23 rice krispy treat bars to reconstruct the bow of the ship and attach it to the cake. Thank goodness it worked!

Taurus Birthday Cake
This cake was for a lady who is into astrology and is a Taurus. She wanted a bull on the cake. She wanted it to be an astrological looking bull (not a cartoon), but still somehow be cute. I hope I struck a balance. The flowers are all gumpaste and pull was painted on with gel food coloring with tiny amount of vodka added.

Breast Cancer Awareness
This was a cake I did for a breast cancer fundraiser. A representative from the Susan G. Komen foundation was there and they are going to put a picture of it on the official website - what an honor! I have a couple close friends who won the battle against breast cancer so I was more than happy to do this cake. Hears to all you strong women out there! :)
