Purple Ruffle Cascade
I've made a version of this cake before and when it came to make the ruffles I had no idea what how I had done it! So I winged it and this is the end result. The ruffles were a beautiful purple shade but my camera doesn't play nice with purple cakes. I love this cake and so did the happy couple - woo hoo!

Floral Cascade
The happy couple chose a 6" round white chocolate and raspberry mud, an 8" square caramel mud cake and a 12" round chocolate mud cake. The yellow tulips, blue Singapore orchids, white freesias and pink roses were made to match the flowers used for the wedding and the combination was gorgeous. Lots of firsts for me on this cake and I waaaaaaayyy underestimated how long the flowers would take.

Ruffle/scrunch Flower Cake
Here's my first wedding cake of the season and it's just gorgeous. We used a 6" fruit cake, an 8" dummy, an 11" white chocolate mud and a 13" chocolate mud (which was massive!). Each scrunch flower was brushed with lustre and the entire cake was airbrushed with pearl shimmer so it was simply gorgeous in "real life".

My First Treasure Chest And Im Really Proud Of How It Turned Out I Airbrushed The Entire Cake And The Trims Were Done With Embossed Choco
My first treasure chest and I'm really proud of how it turned out. I airbrushed the entire cake and the trims were done with embossed chocolate fondant. The coins were from the supermarket, the "sand" is brown sugar and the scroll is an edible image. The base of the chest was constructed from a 13" x 9" chocolate mud cake and the lid was made from LCM bars.

Chocolate Crackle Cake
Thanks Donna Hay for this "cake" idea for Mr It's Caketastic's 40th birthday! We are a little over mud cake here so I wanted to try something different and this idea was in Donna's latest kids issue of her magazine. The two tiers were chocolate crackle mixture and the kids loved the lollies on the inside. Super easy and super yummy!

Rainbow Ruffles For A Baby Shower
I love this cake. It was a baby shower cake for my cousin Morgan who is expecting a rainbow baby very soon (excitement plus!). Inside there were six rainbow layers of white chocolate mud cake. The day was extra special because it was also Morgan's birthday. I made the bunting as well and have the hot glue gun burns to prove it so that will be outsourced to experts next time..... Crafty I am not! Did I mention how much I love this cake?

"Naked" rainbow cakes have become one of my most popular cakes. Rather than covering the whole cake with icing to hide the surprise of the colours I make a feature of the rainbow shades by using matching icing. This cake was made with butter cake and Swiss meringue buttercream. The rainbow and Pinkie Pie were made from fondant.

Peach Ombre Frill Engagement Cake
Two tiers of ombre peach frills decorated this engagement cake. I sort of followed Maggie Austin's Craftsy tutorial and I love how it finished up. The love birds were made from fondant and airbrushed with pearl shimmer so they were sparkly which the camera didn't pick up. The lily was made from home-made flower paste.

Three tiers of cake goodness made up of white chocolate, dark chocolate and mars bar mud cakes. The hearts were made from fondant and the bride supplied the topper. The silver accents were hand painted with lustre. There was a bride and groom to on on top as well but Mr It's Caketastic had already put it in the car before I could take photos... The cake is based on a Scrumptious Cakes design.

The last wedding cake of the season was based on the "Bubbles" design by Cake Face. The cake was painted with ivory lustre and the bubbles were all hand rolled fondant. The blue/green colours matched the invitations and the bridesmaid's dress. I love it when couple's choose wedding cakes that are so different!

Ivory And Black Double Barrel Wedding Cake
This cake was a first for me, I ventured into the world of double barrel cakes! Scary... The top tier was six inches round and eight inches high, the bottom was eight by eight. I covered both in ivory fondant which looked amazing against the black. The bride provided the topper so I added some silver bling to the base of each tier to tie the look together. This cake was ordered as an engagement cake but the couple pulled off a surprise wedding!

Blingtastic Wedding Cake
Here's my latest blingtastic wedding cake! This is a photo the bride sent through. Tiers one, three and five were quilted with diamantes at the join. The roses on top were handmade and the bride supplied the topper. Diamante trim sits at the base of all tiers and the entire cake was airbrushed with pearl shimmer. It was so over the top and sparkly, it was gorgeous! We used marble mud and mars bar mud cakes which the groom was very happy with.

Black And White Wedding
Three tiers of white and black gorgeousness! The damask pattern was applied to the bottom tier with royal icing. The couple's name on the middle tier was painted on. The bride supplied the brooch for the top tier and it was so pretty. The roses on top were made from black fondant and the entire cake was airbrushed with pearl shimmer. The bling on each tier really finished the cake off.

This golf bag cake was modelled on the birthday boy's. I used jaffa mud and everything was edible except for skewers that made the club shaft. The decoration is all fondant and the zips were painted with silver lustre dust mixed with vodka so they looked realistic. The grass was buttercream made using the grass tip.
