Lego Movie Birthday Cake for my own "Emmett and WyldStyle" :) The suspended piece of cake is actually RKT so it was lighter. The crane is an actual Lego set that we assembled. The piece of "cake" was dangling and spinning slowly throughout the party for a cool effect:)
Top and bottom tiers are blue and green layers of cake with a Skittles buttercream filling! Football is RKT. Super Bowl Champions!!! GO HAWKS!!!!
The Birthday Boys' mommy sent me a picture of a fabulous Nemo number 2 cake that she found..this was my attempt to recreate it ;) I printed a number 2 and took it to a copy store where they blew it up to the size of my sheet cake. I used that as a template to carve the 2. I made the Nemo, Dory, Squirt, and other sealife thanks to so many great tutorials on the net! Oh, and the inside of the cake was blue, a fun surprise for the birthday boy!

Rome city skyline was printed with edible my printer, "Amore" was cut with my Cricut Cake, and sunflowers were made with gumpaste :)
I saw the idea for the topper on another cake via a google search and loved it! I used a plastic ornament for the fish bowl :) The inside of the cake was rainbow swirl...very Seuss-ish! I traced the one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish with an exacto knife and added details with an edible marker; same with the Lorax and trees :) I had fun making this one! :)
