Birch Trees And Hedgehogs
This cake was for my lovely daughter-in-law's baby shower. The cake was decorated to match her nursery theme and colors. The hedgehogs were added because she loves hedgehogs. The chevron baby blanket that they're sitting on is similar to one that I knitted for the baby. She loved it all.... a cake-decorating victory! The cake is a double-barrel 8" stack, covered in ganache to stabilize it. I airbrushed the cake to get the navy background. The hedgehogs were made from fondant/gumpaste.

This Easter Cake Was The Prize For A Diaper Raffle At A Baby Shower For My Daughter In Law Her Mother Won The Prize Every Once In Awhile
This easter cake was the prize for a diaper raffle at a baby shower for my daughter-in-law. Her mother won the prize! Every once in awhile, a decorator falls in love with one of her cakes.... I certainly did with this one! I just hated to give my little bunny away; he made me smile every time I looked at him. Oh, well.... some ittle boy will love biting off his ears and eating his feet :(( This was an 8 inch stack. The bunny was sculpted from RKT, covered with white chocolate and then fondant. Bye, bye Bunny....

Owl Cake
A birthday cake made for my granddaughter's 10th birthday. It was constructed from two three layer stacks - one 9", one 6". It was a chocolate cake, filled with Bratkos fresh Strawberry Italian Buttercream, iced with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream. It was covered with homemade MFF. All decorations were MFF/gumpaste. This was my first experiment with a Marvelous Mold on lay purchased from Sugar Delites. It took a little experimentation to get the on lay thickness right and my technique down, but I love the onlay! Can't wait to buy more :))
