Good day lovely people. :) I’m excited to share with you a recent collaboration that I am so very honoured to have participated in. 44 talented cake artists from across the globe have come together to celebrate the beautiful and sophisticated designs of Indian fashion. Each artist created a cake inspired by a haute couture Indian outfit that is typically worn for elegant occasions. One can see how these outfits can easily translate into a gorgeous cake design with their rich colors and intricate decorations. My saree inspiration provided, had deep regal purple and apricot colours with beautiful gold and silver appliqués, embroidery, and embellishments; along with pops of red beading and piping. I pulled those elements from the fashion piece and applied them to my cake design. Really enjoyed the challenge and results…and I hope you do too! You can see the complete collection here:

Be My Valentine Collaboration 2015
My piece for the 'Be My Valentine' collaboration. It does not depict a specific race, creed, ideology or gender. Just love, respect, harmony, peace and tenderness between two people. A huge Thank you goes out to Zorica's Cake Art by Hajnalka Mayor for inviting me to your wonderful collaboration. xx " Love with no boundaries. Winter Shimmer
This was created back in August for DIY wedding magazine. My palate given was ivory, shades of gray and pops of plum and eggplant. ...and with it being for their Winter issue I focused around the shimmer and glamour of the holidays and created metallic ombre sequinned tiers and floral elements that reminded me of a wintry bouquet. xx

Whimsical Reindeer
This design was included in Cake Central's 2013 December Issue. It was a gorgeous issue full of sparkle, bows, birds, bells and whimsical creations. I was excited about the theme as both of my favourite holiday elements were paired together, with them being reindeer silhouettes and snowflakes. I wanted to set out for a whimsical, magical, almost ethereal feeling to this design. I chose hexagons straight away; as to me they resemble snowflakes. I built a hexagon stand out of crown moulding to pull the whole design together. I used a mold that I had made from a tree ornament for the body of the reindeer. I brushed the reindeer and stand with a pearlized dust to give it that wintery sheen. Hope you like it. Thanks :)

Christmas In Frostington Collaboration ~ Scrooge's Study
I have to say I’m so, so proud and grateful to have participated in this collaboration! The admin team that is running the show is absolutely amazing. They're patient, hard working and so very kind hearted. It started with a vision and they then had bakers and cake designers complete sugar pieces and then their talented graphic designers pieced them all together to create the beautiful, wintry, cheerful scene, known as Frostington Village. One stipulation was that each baker and cake designer had to submit either a recipe or tutorial along with their sugar piece. They then compiled those recipes and tutorials into booklets for the public to purchase. All the proceeds from the sales go toward their three nominated charities: Icing Smiles, Inc., Alzheimer’s Society and Australian Melanoma Research Foundation. All within the Spirit of Christmas…I think they’ve nailed it! You can purchase your booklets and raffle tickets here : http://christmasinfrostington.org/ There is also the option to donate as well should you not want to purchase. My contribution was Scrooge’s Study in the mansion on the Frostington hill. I had the best time creating him…as miniature modelling isn’t something I do often and knowing it was all for gracious causes. Very grateful for the opportunity. xx
