Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake
This is a chocolate and strawberry cake! I used the Summer Scratch Srtawberry cake recipe from this site and it is FABULOUS! This cake is filled with chocolate frosting and covered with strawberry buttercream on the outside. I drizzled some chocolate ganache and added the chocolate covered strawberries on top. Everyone loved this one! Thanks for looking!

True Blood Inspired Cake: "sookie Stackhouse"
Well this is a True Blood inspired cake for Sookie. I wanted to do a bustier cake for her and since they always put her in something flowy, and white, I tried to model the "dress" she is wearing after a pic I found on the net. I was pleased with the outcome. However, her fondant "skin" looked like flesh color when I was mixing it using the Satin and Ice brand fondant. But when it dried on the cake, it looked more pink! Oh well, note to self for next time! This is a 13"X9" cake and carved, boobies are from wilton mini sports ball cupcake pan. And it was a low sugar carrot cake and cream cheese frosting underneath. Thanks for looking!!

True Blood Inspired: Tara
Well, I was looking to do some True Blood inspired cakes and started searching the bustier cakes on this site. Shot out to HODGES for posting the original of this cake! I wanted to do a cake for Tara since I heard this season she will be getting her very own vamp! So ode to Tara and her new vamp that shall endeavor to leave his "mark" on her! And by the way this is a 13"X9" cake layer carved and the boobies were from the wilton mini sports ball cupcake pan. I made it from a low sugar carrot cake recipe. TFL!

If You Like Pina Coladas...drink Cupcakes!
Used mini ball cupcake pan to make these beauties! I was so pleased with them. I made them to be toppers for my Pina Colada cake. Used an awesome coconut cake recipe found on this site for the cupcakes. Turned them over and frosted the backs with cream cheese frosting and covered in chocolate (Satin Ice brand) fondant. I wanted them to really look like coconuts so I dusted the fondant backs with graham cracker crumbs. Hollowed out the centers and filled with the fillings from the cake itself (coconut cream and chunky pineapple fruit gel mixed with cream cheese frosting). I added a cocktail straw and umbrella hat and viola, Pina Coladas!

Capri Sun Cooler Barrel Cake
This is a devil's food chocolate cake filled with peanut butter frosting, chocolate frosted under chocolate fondant used for the "wooden planks" for the barrell. Piped white buttercream on top and swirled in some blue food color to look like "water". I made the blue "ice", it is blueberry hard candy. The Capri Suns are fake, I pierced the bottom of the pouches and drained the juices and cut off the tops. The birthday boy's number is 2 so I thought I would drape a "jersey" of the side to look like he just took it off and slung it on the side of the "cooler". I thought it would be cool to put some "grass stains" on it as well! This was my third attempt at a "cooler" cake and was finally pleased with the outcome! Thanks for looking!

Baby Belly Shower Cake
Well this is my 2nd attempt at a belly cake. I was real pleased despite having some flaws I had to deal with and of course I think I learned some things for the next time around. Ok, this is another coconut cake, people really seem to like the taste of this cake! I'm glad I found the recipe on here! Anyway, the belly is a 4 quart pyrex bowl cake that I hollwed out and filled with pineapple fruit gel mixed with cream cheese frosting, actually the boobies are the same as the belly. The base layer is a sheet cake that I piped coconut cream filling into. I used Satin and Ice brand fondant. Mixed pink, purple, and white fondant for the dress, and the bottom sheet cake is just chocolate fondant. Halfway through making the beads around the boobies, I ran out of the color I mixed and quickly had to make some more, and that's why the color is off a little bit! But thanks for looking!

Baby Belly Cake
Ok, another first attempt here and this time it is a baby belly cake. Simple yellow cake, white buttercream, chocolate fondant dress, white fondant covered bodice. I used the mini ball cupcake pan for the boobies and was very dissapointed in their size! Wound up cutting off the tops of some other cupcakes and just stacked them. She wound up looking like that MTV show, "16 & pregnant"! So next time I will use the mini sports ball pan instead of the cupcake pan! And also filled the belly with more white buttercream. And fyi I used the 4 qt. pyrex bowl for the belly. Looked everywhere for it and only actually found it on Amazon. Also painted the bodice with pearl luster dust, the bow with pink luster, and just brushed the chocolate with a fine thin brush that I dipped in water and the dress dried shiny. Who knew? Well thanks for looking!

Baby Bubble Bath Shower Cake
Well I studied enough of these wonderful cakes on here--thanks for all the great ideas! This is a chocolate cake and inside is caramel buttercream frosting. I actually need to find a better recipe for this frosting, anyone have any ideas? Only because this one actually wound up tasting like maple. But anyways, everyone still loved it! Chocolate fondant wooden planks--actually took, choc., white and yellow fondant pieces together and pulled like candy makers to get the swirls in fondant. Another genius idea from a very crafty individual on this site. White buttercream piped to look like bubbles, real edible candy duckies bought when all the leftover Easter candy went on sale this yr! Green buttercream grass piped around base of cake. Fondant soap bar and hanging towel. This was my first attempt, but I was very pleased! Thanks for looking!

Lady Bug Baby Shower Cake
Lot of firsts here. This is my first photo uploaded to this site. First time doing a tiered cake (definitely still need a lot of practice in this area). First time I was happy with a cake that I myself decorated with fondant! And also still really nead a lot of practice there, too! Ok, so let me tell you about this cake. It is a coconut cake, bottom tier is filled with a coconut cream and covered in chocolate fondant, green fondant grass and piped green buttercream grass around its base. Top tier is also coconut cake and filled with chunky pineapple fruit gel mixed with cream cheese frosting. Green fondant stems and leaves. The whole thing is frosted with cream cheese frosting under the fondant. Oh! And the pink roses were also my first attempt--I was so excited they came out! Lady bug on top is a coconut cupcake from the mini ball cupcake pan, frosted and covered in choc. and pink fondant. Thanks for looking!
