Slot Machine Wedding Cake
This wedding cake is 14" (Marble), 12" (chocolate), and 10" (red velvet). Each tier has 3 layers of cake. The slot machine is actually a carved 8" round styrophome dummy. This wedding reception was outside in 93 degree heat at a park (had no running water) . I guess I was too scared to make the slot machine a "cake" seeing that it had a 2 hr car ride. If anything happened to it in transit, it would have been a loss. I put rainbow disco dust on the slot machine signs, which made it really come to life. I loved it!!! All of the decorations are MMF except the coins (pirate coins). This cake weighed a ton!!! Thanks for looking!!!!

Trevors Fire Truck
This was more of a difficult cake for me. It was an egg and nut free cake, making the texture more of a difficult nature for stacking and shaping. It was more crumbly than my normal good and trusty recipes. It still turned out well. It is a carved 8" chocolate cake, coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. The decorations, ladder included, are MMF. I used Nu-silver luster dust for the silver decorations and loved working with it. I looked and looked for a cute fire truck design and found one from Spring Lake Cakes. It was a larger version than the one I made, but fell in love with the design. Thank you Spring Lake Cakes for your awesome cake ideas.

Super Mario Bro. Cake
The base of the cake is 8" and the pipe is a 4", both chocolate. The stem is a 1/2" dowel connected to a huge RKT flower. The cake is coated in BC and covered in MMF All decorations are MMF. I saw this design on Cake Nouveau's website and tried to duplicate it. I was pleased with the outcome. Thanks for looking and thanks for the ideas Cake Nouveau!!

Pink Rose Topsy Turvy
This is a 2 tier topsy turvy cake, 6" top and 10" bottom tier. It's vanilla pound cake with three layers of cake in each tier. I made all of the roses, rose leaves and ivy from a 50/50 gumpaste/fondant mix. The cake was coated in BC and covered in fondant. This was my first time doing a cake with drapes. I feel that they came out nice. I made this cake at the Jenbito Cake Camp which was taught by Jennifer Dontz and Sharon Zambito. They were wonderful and I learned so much. I would recommend that if you have the chance to take a class from either of these ladies, you will take the skills learned and become a better cake decorator!!!

My Little Pony
This cake has a 6" top and an 8" bottom tier. The little pony was made from a fondant/gumpaste mix. I had a real My Little Pony standing by incase my pony didn't turn out. I felt comfy with the way it turned out. Both tiers are marble cake with chocolate pudding filling, covered in French Vanilla Buttercream and then fondant.

Fish With Beer
This cake was made in collaboration with a friend of mine for a wedding. The wooden block is a red velvet half sheet cake, filled with vanilla pudding, coated in buttercream and covered in white chocolate fondant. The 13" fish is pound cake and has so much detail from the fins all the way to the life sized lure in its mouth, its amazing! I did the beer can that's almost 1 foot tall. I used the firm carrot cake recipe that I found on CC and baked it in (3) 4" x 3" pans. The next time I make the carrot cake recipe, I will definitely add more sugar. It wasn't even sweet to me at all. Just to make sure the cake was stable, I covered it in chocolate ganache and then fondant. The silver shimmer is silver luster dust. When all said and done, this cake definitely had a wow factor when it was brought into the room! Thanks for looking!!!

Alex's Wedding Cake
This is my first wedding cake. It was big and weighed 80 lbs! There were two flavors alternating from the top on down: Cherry Chip and White. The cake sizes were 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14". The cake is covered in French Vanilla buttercream and then covered with MMF. All decorations are MMF. The monogram is a mixture of gumpaste and MMF. I tried to save the bride some money buying a monogram, so I made one myself. She asked me to make her a "funky style" "M". Everything turned out beautifully. :) Thanks for looking!!!

Jack's Ducky Cake
This cake has a one layer 10" chocolate cake and the tub (also chocolate) is a 3 layer 8" x 3" cake. It stacked up nicely. The cake is covered in French Vanilla Buttercream and coated in MMF. The decorations are also MMF with the exception of the plastic toy duckies. The bubbles are buttercream with a white shimmer petal dust on them. I am a little bummed that the bubbles didn't show the shimmer dust very well. I was going to use MMF for the bubbles, but I ran out of fondant. I pulled an all nighter making this cake and thought that using buttercream instead was a good call for my sanity. Maybe on the next cake :)

Bridal Shower Hydrangea Cake
This cake is a 6" (yellow cake with lemon filling) , 8" (marble with chocolate pudding) and 10" (dark chocolate with chocolate pudding) round cake. The hydrangeas were fresh flowers. The cake is coated with french vanilla buttercream and covered with MMF. The cake was a big hit and got many compliments. I wouldn't have changed a thing :)

Baby Dedication
This cake is an 8" white round and a 10" dark chocolate round coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. All of the decorations are MMF with the exception of the cross (50/50 MMF and gumpaste mix). The mother of the cake loved it. She asked for a delicate and feminine baby dedication cake. I thought the cake turned out wonderful! Thanks for looking :)

Adoption Anniversary Cake
This is an anniversary cake for an adoption from Bolivia in 1996. The earth is made from the Wilton Ball pan and the bottom is an 8"round. Both cakes are coated with buttercream and covered with MMF. The decorations are also MMF, with the exception of the date on the top (50/50 mix of gumpaste and MMF). The Bolivian Flag and American Flag are made only from MMF. The continents were a little tricky. I tried to have a lot of detail in the outer edges of each continent, including Hawaii! The llama was the only other detail that gave me some trouble - but turned out just fine.

Smash Cake
This is a carved "#1" made from a square 8". This cake looks bigger than it really is because I loaded it up with about 1' of frosting on each side and on the top. I also added tons of green frosting as decoration for that extra "messiness quality" for the pictures... It definitely worked!

Cinderella's Dress Cake
This is a 6" top and 8" bottom coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. All of the decorations are also MMF. The dark purple bows are 50/50 mix of MMF and gumpaste. I loved every part of this cake until it got bleached out by the sun!! The pink on the cake was more of a bubble gum. After the sun, it is more of a peach! Yikes!!! My heart sunk and I gave the customer a discount. The faded color didn't bother her in the slightest. She loved the design and so did her daughter, the birthday girl!!!! You can't really see the mice in the picture very well, but they are standing next to the mirror by Cinderella. I thought it was a nice touch.

Pink And Purple B-Day Cake
This is a 6" round and 8" bottom round cake that is coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. The decorations are also MMF. I had fun making this cake until I accidentally ruined the "Happy Birthday" sign on top of the cake, but the names. I panicked and made some swirlies to go behind the names to hide the holes from the previous sign. Phew!!! I think I pulled it off, but I may still be in denial. Thanks for looking!

Princess Dora Cake
This is a 6" and 8" cake that is coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. The decorations were also MMF. I also sprinkled some clear edible glitter flakes around Dora on the top of the cake to add a sparkly note. Everything is edible except the candles and Dora (toy). I like to add a toy on little kids cakes so they have something to play with later.

Congratulations Nurse Tiffany!!
This was a cake I just love to look at! My friend Tiffany was graduating as an RN and wanted to make her a very special cake. I took some ideas from my brain and inter-twined then with some Cake Central cakes and this is what I came up with. The Cake is 6" and 12" deep chocolate flavored, coated with buttercream frosting, then covered with MMF. The nurse hat, pills and pill bottle w/ lid are made from a 50/50 mix of MMF and gumpaste. The stethoscope is made from a Playdooh press. I have a clay art gun, but couldn't get the right size I needed for it. The needle for the shot is floral wire - just the right thickness. The only decoration that is buttercream is the heart rate around the bottom tier. The metallic parts of the stethoscope and shot is from silver luster dust.

Brittany's Zebra Cake
This cake was a 6" and 8" yellow cake with lime green buttercream frosting. The cake was then covered with MMF. The green bow is a 50/50 mix of MMF and gumpaste. I don't have any fondant alphabet cutouts that were funky enough, so I hand painted with lemon juice and black gel food coloring the name "Brittany". I was pleased with the outcome. I always forget how long it takes me to make the zebra stripes. I individually cut out each piece to fit it's surrounding pieces. It takes a while, but well worth it!!

Slumber Party Cake
This cake was for an 8yr old having a slumber party theme. The bottom tier is a 12" round and the top tier (the bed) is an 8" carved square cake. Both tiers are chocolate. All of the decorations are edible. The cake was coated with buttercream and MMF - with MMF decorations. The textured bedspread was made with an impression mat from Wilton. I got this idea from some other CC decorators. Thank you for your help! The cake turned out wonderful!

Getting Married In Las Vegas
This bridal shower cake was fun to make. The bride and groom are having a destination wedding in Vegas and had a themed shower to match. Everything is edible on this cake aside from the red and black feathers behind the sign on top. I am most proud of the sign on top of the cake. It took the longest but turned out beautiful. The cake The top tier is a yellow 6" square cake, middle tier is round 10" dark chocolate cake and bottom is round 12" marble. Each tier had 3 layers of cake. When I carried the cake into the shower, everyone clapped. It made me feel that the three nights I stayed up until 3:30am working on the cake was worth it! Thanks for looking :)

Sleeping On The Job
This is a dark chocolate half sheet cake, torted with vanilla pudding. The tent and tree is made from RKT, then covered in fondant. The deer roasting a marshmallow, hunters and fire are MMF. I also stuck a little bit of cotton to a toothpick with BC to make the "smoke" in the fire. The cake is decorated with BC and was a fun cake to make. I got some ideas from different Cake Central decorators and merged them together to make this cake. Thank you for your awesome ideas!! It was a great way to spice up the traditional sheet cake.
