Fairytale Castle
This is my first castle cake and apart from the slightly leaning tower, I'm really quite pleased with it. Bottom tier = choc mud with choc ganache. Middle tier = white choc mud with white ganache. Top tier = RKT. It was my first time making and using RKT and I'm converted; it's great stuff! Towers, turrets and "1" made from fondant with Tylose. Sanding sugar, edible glitter, luster dust, gumpaste and RI used for details.

My First Cupcake Tower
This was for a man's 40th birthday. The colours are from his favourite football team (I thought it looked a bit too Christmassy but it's what they wanted!) They are a mix of vanilla sour cream cake and chocolate mud cake with either white or dark choc ganache and fondant. All monograms made with fondant + tylose. All was going well until I moved the stand (after taking photos) and the top 'W' monogram came toppling down and broke! Aaargh! I repaired it as best I could but I was very unhappy with myself. :-( It was also incredibly hot and humid and my fondant was sweating like crazy. Not a great caking day.

1950S Birthday
This was for a woman turning 50 and celebrating with a 1950s rock n roll theme party. Bottom 2 tiers are vanilla sour cherry cake with white chocolate ganache. Top tier is vanilla sour cream cake. All tiers covered in fondant with fondant and gumpaste details. This was my first 3-tier cake and it was lots of fun to make (apart from the heat messing wiht it!)

Face Cream Birthday
This is the strangest cake request I've had so far. The invitation for this woman's 40th birthday party was made up like a face cream advertisement so her husband wanted a face cream cake. Odd.... but the customer gets what the customer wants! My first proper carved cake and I'm really pleased with how it went. Chocolate mud cake with chocolate ganache and fondant. Fondant and gumpaste accents with some luster dust. TFL

Garden Party
This cake was for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I love the way it turned out. I wanted to add a few different type of bugs (dragonflies, caterpillars, butterflies) but ran out of time. It's 4 layers of vanilla sour cream cake with dark chocolate ganache. Accents are mostly fondant, some 50/50. Inspired by several cakes here on CC and huge thanks to Aine2 for her Youtube tutorial. My husband made the 'Maisy' for the back of the cake as she's our daughter's favourite!! Thanks for looking.

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Chocolate orange cake with chocolate ganache and fondant. Ribbons on wires are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste. This is my donation for a Breast Cancer Research fundraiser party. It's going to be raffled tonight! It's my first attempt at an 'explosion' cake (boy are these harder than they look!) and my first time doing details on wires. I'm really quite pleased with how this turned out. TFL
