For my friend's daughter. 10/6 rounds, buttercream with Tink on top. I made curly cues to fill in around but did not get a good photo of it complete at party. Birthday girl requested all purple. Inspired by AmyLynn23.
Paintball Camo Cake
Gumpaste paintball gun. Piping gel paint splatters. Camo technique for buttercream on 8".
Super quick qulited cake. Textured squares then piped buttercream stitching for my MIL's birthday.
Angry Bird Christmas

Quick penquin igloo cake for decorating contest at my son's school. 10" round. 6" half ball for igloo. Buttercream on bottom fondant on igloo. Piping gel lake. Fondant penguins.
Dr. Marten Boot
Base was RKT. The rest was fondant covered cake. My first attempt at a cake like this.
Gigi Hill Handbag
This was made for a GiGi Hill rep meeting. It's based on one of their bags. I pressed the fondant into the side of a bag with that material design. All gumpaste/fondant accents.
Simple ghost. I saw this idea here on CC a while ago. I needed a quick easy cake for a cake walk at school. It's so funny how such an easy cake can turn out so cute and be such a big hit. Two 6" rounds with 6" half ball on top. Draped loosely in fondant with fondant pumpkin.
Mini Wine Barrel With Grapes
I made this mini 4" cake for my best friend's birthday. Covered in fondant. Quick & easy. It took less than 1/2 hour total since it was so small. Didn't get a pic until we were at dinner (TGI Friday's....can you tell by the table????) TFL!
My daughter made this for her 11th birthday. Her friend helped and they did the decorating. I piped the "Happy Birthday Angelina" for her. 8" zebra cake, buttercream with fondant stripes.
Red & Black Purse Cake
This was my 1st purse cake. I made it for my sister-in-law's birthday. I loosely designed it based on her Gigi Hill bag but decided to make it solid red than try to mimic the paisley pattern. I forgot to order the alligator skin impression mat but found textured scrapbook paper that worked fairly well (although you can't see the texture in the pic). It was decorated all in fondant & gumpaste. I used one 9x13 pan and it stacked nicely with very little scraps. I followed the pics by staceyflute of her Coach Wristlet here on CC. Thank you for that!
This was made to raffle off at my son's school's pancake breakfast. I followed the technique on FB by Royal Bakery. Two 6" cakes. My friendmade one for the event too which is a must see Mickey Stack. http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2175359 TFL!
Football 1St Birthday
10x2, 8x6, 6x4 cakes. Designed to match colors and theme of party plates. RKT football. Fondant cake, buttercream smash cake.
10/6 in rounds for a friends christening. All gumpaste decor. I actually bought the flowers pre-made from Cal-Java for $1 / set of 3 roses (large, med, & bud). Saved me tons of time and they looked great. Based on a design by Cakes by May.
Chocolate Plank Wrapped Cake
8" round white chocolate cake. White chocolate planks with transfer sheet design and white chocolate IMBC. Dessert cake for our family gathering.
Petall Effect W/ Daisies Barrel Cake
3 stacked 6" carrot cakes. Petal effect cream cheese frosting with daisies. Dessert cake for our family get-together.
Oakland A's Baseball Cap
I made this for my father's in law's birthday. I've been wanting to make one for a long time and decided late the night before to make it. It was actually very easy and rather quick. I made the bill in gumpaste the night before to dry overnight. It's a 6" round plus the Wilton 6" ball on top. I made the bill to match the actual cap so it ended up being slightly bigger than the cap itslef but it worked. I'm very pleased with it. Everyone thought it was a real ball cap until they poked at it.
Stack Of Books
Made for the staff & teachers at my daughter's schools as a "welcome back to school". First time I made books. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. The staff LOVED it.
Red & Black Belt Wedding Cake
My friends finally got married after 20 years! My gift to them was this cake. It was my 1st wedding cake (2nd really but I don't really count the 1st from 10 yrs ago). They had a small gathering a friends house. They handed me the topper and gave me free reign so I made this. 3 tiers, 10, 8, 6. The 2" styro spacer gave me room for a black belt which they both have and that's how they met. It fit them so well and they were thrilled. I'm just a hobbyist so I'm really proud with how it turned out. I wanted to do some RI dots, scrolls but ran out of time. I actually like it without. TFL!
3 - 8" layers for the barrel. Fondant wood planks. Sugar bottles & ice. Edible labels. I made this for my best friend's boyfriend and he couldn't have been more thrilled. I'm just a hobby baker and felt so professional because I had to deliver it early to the restaurant. I got the best compliments from the staff and other customers. The bottles were sugar/corn syrup. They were a challenge to keep dry and after sitting in the cake for just two hours they absorbed quite a bit of moisture and turned spotty. It worked out for this cake because it looked like condensation. Inspired by all the wonderful ideas on CC and for all the help in technique. Especially makeyourownmolds for the bottle video and advice on the sugar.
8" round. Fondant with gumpaste rackets and shuttlecock. Made for a friend's daughter who plays. Based on a photo seen on-line from a UK bakery (CakesCrazy).
Another test kitchen result. First time I've tried this technique. It was a litle trickier than I'd expected. I think my buttercream was a bit too soft but overall it worked out all right. 6" coconut with mango mousse filling.
Pink Baby Cake
Today was "test kitchen" at my house. New recipies and first time at this buttercream technique. 6" coconut layer with whipped mango mousse. Fondant baby and blanket. I offered a "test" cake to my neighbor who just happened to going to meet her friend's new baby girl so I made them this.
Red Velvet With Fresh Berries
Quick RV with cream cheese and fresh berries on top. I was in a rush for to get the party (what's new) so the icing was a bit soft. But it was yummy and well received.
My 10-yr old daughter made this cake for this year's fair entry. She did all the work herself and took 1st place. All the candy is gumpaste. She used an extruder with 2 colors in it to shape and roll the lollipops. She rolled "gumdrops" in colored/crystal sugar. The ice cream cone was RKT covered in fondant with a real cone. She got the ideas from various different cakes here on CC.
