This was a fun cake to make -- made the shoes out of 50/50 fondant and gumpaste.
I made this for my dad's 60th birthday -- it was a lot of fun. This was the first time I covered a cake in ganache before putting fondant on it. It was wonderful to work with -- don't think I will ever put bc under fondant again.

Class 4 Final Cake Challenge - Make a cake based on your favorite book. So I decided on the classic "Where the Wild Things Are". Wanted to incorporate a book with the pages and the make the cover come to life. This was a blast to make. Thank you for looking. :)

My mom and I had fun making this cake for my sister's shower. We tried a lot of new techniques: gumpaste flowers, impression mats, stencils, fondant, funky letters. We were really excited with how the final cake looked.

Shamu is rice crispy treat covered in fondant and then painted with piping gel to make it look wet. The other animals are made from color flow. The bird is 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. This cake was a lot of fun to make.

First time (only time:) using chocolate transfers. Used cookie cutter to make some add'l gingerbread men for the side.
