My first and more than likely last attempt at making a stack of book cakes. This was more time consuming than I had thought. I made this for a class party at the end of a big reading marathon. The kids and parents loved it so it was worth it. Cake is chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream filling.
Here was my attempt at marbled fondant. My fondant work still stinks but I will keep trying. Top layer orange dreamsicle cake and bottom layer was choc layer from Sky High cookbook. Flowers are obviously fake but they do a great job at covering ugly fondant work :-)
I had a wild urge to play with boiling sugar and just got this mold. We go to Grand Cayman in the summer and adore the stingrays so I just had to have this one.

Totally NOT what I set out to create but at least I know the cake tasted good. Top layer was orange creamsicle with orange creamsicle mousse. Bottom layer is a chocolate butter cake with dulce de leche filling. It is covered in buttercream and I used real flowers.
These are some cupcakes I made for a fund raiser at school. I had so much fun decorating them :-)
Made this for a teacher's bday. The bottom layer is a dulce de leche cheese cake....next is a layer if dulce de leche butter cream topped off with a chocolate butter cake. It is frosted with the same DDL buttercream and surrounded with pirouette cookies. There are chocolate molded stars on the top dusted with cocoa.
These were for my son's 2nd grade Easter class party. They were all lamb's of God :-) Cake balls dipped in white chocolate and various candies to finish off.
