Italian Cream Cake
This is an Italian Cream Cake for an Italian co-worker. I really liked it until I had to write on it...I just hate my handwriting. I call this my $500 cake because if I was getting paid by the hour, that's how much it would cost. I had to do everything twice...including the roses. I found out yesterday that the Wilton cream cheese icing doesn't work in Louisiana! My first attempt at roses and it was likemaking them with cool whip! Thanks to Edna who I pm'd all day yesterday, it finally came out ok.

Religious Christmas Cake
Cake covered in MMF with RI accents. Crosses are a sugar cookie coated in chocolate, covered in fondant. I wanted to just make a thick cookie, but bought the cheap tube cookie dough and it spread out like a thin blob, so I had to add reinforcements. Poinsettia's are RI. Praying hands are chocolate painted with bronze luster dust.

Ornament Cupcakes
I have seen these all over CC and have been anxious to try. Eight hours later......wow! It was a lot of fun, but I'd have to charge $10 a piece to do that again!. I used the half mini ball pan for the tops, used a 4.5" cookie cutter to cut my fondant to cover the tops and used the air brush for my base color and then covered with luster dust. The hook thingy is a mini marshmellow. Used royal icing for the details. Thanks for looking!

Turkey Cookies
I was experimenting with color flow vs. royal icing and bottle vs. bag. I definately prefer to fill the cookies in with the thinned icing in a bottle. I thought the color flow was supposed to dry shiny, but I don't find a difference in appearance from the royal icing or color flow. I prefer outling with color flow but could't tell the difference in the filler. The glossy one is a cookie filler recipe from the wilton yearbook. I love it's glossyness..but definately takes 24 hours to dry,

Shed Antler
Being an avid deer hunter this was my first cake as an outdoorsman. This was a team effort with my wife. The cake is devils food with butter cream icing. The antler was made from a strand of wire wrap in foil and then covered in masking tape. Fondant covered the antler. The leaves and acorns or fondant and the dirt on the cake is crushed Choc. chip cookies. I will try making the antler out of Rice Krisp. treats next time. No airbrushing on this cake everything by brush.--Tommy

Louisiana Beignet
Sticking with south louisiana tradition. Beignets and LSU are favorites. This is only my 2nd 3d cake. Of course its Coffee cakewith a cinnamon and brwn sugar center I also added a little cinnamon in my butter cream to give it that extra morning taste to go with a cup of Cafe- Au lait. Comment are welcomed since i'm always willing to learn.---Tommy
