The swirls were just painted on (nerve racking to say the least) and the roses are made out of gumpaste. Wasn't sure how the cake was going to come together as the bride just wanted swirls and roses. Turned out beautifully though, very romantic and elegant I think.
real flowers were used on this cake. They were some cala lilies, green cymbidium orchids and some other purple orchid. They were all wired together with just the wire into the cake.
Gumpaste peonies and roses. Was made as a cut cake for a cupcakes wedding. First time making the peonies and after a few trial and error attempts I got it. Probably will try another way of doing it next time but I did like how they turned out. The bride just loved them though and that makes it all worth it! TFL!
