Ice Cream Sundae
Thank icedideas for your idea. This is for my niece. Buttercream, dairy free ganache, and fondant accents. Although I was itching to make each ice cream a different flavor frosting, my sister asked that the frosting all be one flavor for simplicity in serving. The cone cake is vanilla with a hint of almond. ice cream cake is chocolate and cupcakes are neapolitan. Fun cake to make, now I just hope it transports well!
Thanks Gramabev for the idea. This is a 1/2 sheet cut in 1/2 and stacked. It's completely buttercream with a Wilton sprinkle on top. The flowers are not edible. This was bought from some husbands to thank their wives for everything.
Small cake made for a boy, who worked for his father's carpet company this summer. His favorite thing to do was cutting letters out of the carpet. The logo on the front of the cake is the business's logo The G on the top is the boy's initial and it is meant to look like it was carved out of a shag carpet.
Chocolate cake decorated in BC. After I decided to put on the pointy haired boss, I found the funny caption at the bottom of another cake and had to borrow it.
This large cookies was made for a hairdresser's birthday. It's a double chocolate cookie with b/c circles and chocolate fondant sillouhetes.
fondant painted with thinned color gel. The label holds a quote that the birthday boys'd grandmother always said as they were about to enjoy something fatty and high in cholesterol; meat, mayonnaise... She would then proceed to tell them each member of the family that had heart disease. Lol!
Chocolate cake, red b/c, grated white chocolate. Gray fondant pan sprayed with Wilton silver
Tommy Hilfiger, Nike
Teenager wanted a clothes logo cake. Hilfiger and Swish were the way to go. B/C.

I looked at many sunflower cakes on the site for inspiration. Thanks for all your help! This is a 12 in. chocolate cake, decorated in b/c with mini chocolate chips in the middle. I think the ladybug adds a nice touch.
Carrot cake seems to be the favorite around here, but I get bored of coming up with new carrot designs. I therefore stick with the color orange and work from there. The lady just wanted a pretty carrot cake so I thought I'd try out the new ruffle that's been all over cc.
Rosh Hashana Beehives And Apples
Roah Hashana is the Jewish New Year. We eat apples and honey to symbolize that we should have a sweet new year. The beehive is honey cake with a cinnamon b/c. (normally a glaze is all a honey cake needs but for the purpose of the beehive, I created a lighter b/c). The hives were baked in the mini doll pan. The apples are NFSC with "sugar cookie icing" on top.
Music note cake --used 2 6in circle pans and one 10in square. Covered in fondant--little glitch, which you can't see in the picture, so I had to add the white border on the top and bottom
Jewish boys start wearing tefillin (phalactaries) when they turn 13. This cake looks like the one that goes on the head. Written on the front is the boys name in white. Chocolate chip cake, covered in chocolate bc and black vanilla fondant.
Bat Mitzva Cake
All Butter cream. She wanted flowers and her colors were lime and turquoise. The basket actually is 3D, but you can't tell from the picture.
Passover Themed Cake
This was made for someone who did a lot of extra things in our synagogue over Passover.
4Th Birthday Castle Cake
This is my 1st castle cake. I made it for my daughter's 4th birthday. It was surprisingly pretty easy. Butter cream cake and fondant covers the the top of the turrets, also fondant accents. The cake is 2 8in. x 2 in high squares. The round one is a 6in x 3 in high. The turrets are ice cream cones. If you're thinking of making one, go for it; it's fun!
My husband is an eighth grade boys teacher. I always like to bring his birthday cake to school so I thought a sports theme would be good for this year. All cakes were covered in buttercream. The baseball was the rounded part I cut off of the hockey puck.
My daughter wanted a princess for her 5th birthday, but I knew that 1 princess would not be enough for the whole family. I therefore made 4 mini princesses to go with "Princess Tova". My nieces felt they all needed names (lol), so they named them. The large princess is made with fondant. The little princesses are made with buttercream (except for the white skirt, which is also fondant). This was my 1st attempt at princesses and I think they turned out ok. It was fun, at least! (how 'bout the short, messy hairdos?!)
My son wanted a chocolate fighter jet for his 6th birthday. i couldn't find how to make one, so I first cup it from a piece of paper. It was hard, crumbly and I should've coered it in fondant. He loved it! i also added some cupcakes at the end that were piped with white buttercream tip 12 to look like smoke.
WASC baked in a wonder mold. sitting on a 9x13 chocolate WASC. decorated with buttercream. Dinosaurs are unedible. The child wanted colored sugar so I sprinkled a little of that on too.
31 Flavors Birthday Cake
my sister loes ice cream so for her 31st b-day, I made a 31 flavors baskin robbins cake. the bowl is a white cake with champagne flaored buttercream. the ice cream was a chocolate mint cake with mint buttercream and chocolate jimmies mixed in. (her favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip). Chocolate sauce and cherry is fondant. The stem is a real cherry stem.
