This is my 1st castle cake. My darling 6-year-old niece wanted a princess castle for her birthday party. She hasn't seen it yet, so I hope she loves it. She requested sparkles, so the towers are sparkly pink sanding sugar. I used the Wilton kit for the towers and spiers. Everything is covered in MMF with cobblestone impression mat. Thanks to fellow CC members for the help on this! :-)
Brown Bow Wedding Cake
This is my 2nd wedding cake. The bride brought me a picture of the cake she wanted. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. GP/Fondant bow, quilted with a quilting marker, silver dragees, and the center broach was provided by the bride.
Zebra Birthday Cake
TT made using Sugarshack's DVD method. I made this for my sister's 22nd birthday. MMF with MMF accents and GP monogram with nonedible rhinestones. She loved it and I loved making it!
Pink Rose Cupcake Tower
Lemon cake and cupcakes with raspberry cream cheese filling and almond BC icing. Marzipan/GP roses and leaves. Stripes were hard! This was my first time doing freehand stripes on this cake. Not happy at all with the way it turned out, but all of this was just practicing anyway.
First Topsy Turvy
I did this in a cake class. I had so much fun with it. Dummy cake covered in fondant with GP decorations.
I did this for my 3-year-old niece. Iced in BC with fondant/white chocolate roses and pearls and RI tiara.
Spooky Birthday Cake
I did this for one of my sister's birthdays. She loves anything to do with Halloween. My camera made the top color look blue, but it really was a deep violet. Looked much better in real life. Iced in BC with black fondant strips and roses and RI skull.
I did this for my niece's 5th B-Day party. She's absolutely obsessed with Hello Kitty, so she really loved it.
Princess Tiara Cake And Cupcakes
Princess themed cake for 5-year-old birthday party. Tiaras are all RI painted with luster dust. BC iced with fondant accents. Made the cupcake stand with a little help from my hubby. The girls at the party loved it.
Royal Icing Flowers
I was practicing my royal icing flowers. I hadn't made any since finishing my Wilton Course 2 a couple months ago, so needed some practice and a refresher. Still struggling with my roses a bit, but this was a fun cake to make. Inspired by a cake in Witon's Tiered Cakes book.
BC with fondant/gumpaste bows and accents. Devils Food with peanut butter mousse filling. This cake has 5 layers total, nearly 6 inches high.
Ocean-Themed Birthday Cake
I did this one for my nephews 9th birthday. The shark is RKT. Gumpaste shells and fondant sea creatures. It was a hit at the party. I loved doing this cake!
