The poinsettias are made of royal icing; the cake is covered in fondant; the leaves and small white flowers are made from fondant.
Both tiers are a bit shorter than recommended by the instructor and the manual, but I decided to go ahead and decorate it anyway. Despite the height issues, I was rather proud of the way it turned out!
If I were to do this again, I would definitely jazz it up a bit with colored dots or perhaps small fondant flowers in the center of the larger flowers.
If I were to do this again, I wouldn't have gone 'crazy' with adding so many pansies on top!
