Gigi does it again. She made the luvbug out of the baby mold and made a makeshift nest with green fondant and ivy pics. She said the Mama would have to peep inside to make sure the luvbug was sleeping. Cute :)

Surprise 18Th Cake

My son asked me to make this cake for a friend who had helped him in math this year. How could I resist when she helped him get 100% in Cal. Happy 18 th! Also, had trouble with humidity from rain. Darned mmf took forever to set. Disaster cake, but still looked okay. Not my best work. gumpaste candles kept breaking though they were drying for 5 days and put in a deydrator. Unbelieveable!

Fire Truck Cake

This cake was yummo! Expresso, coconut chocolate cake with milk chocolate ganache. The front of the truck had a white cake with white chocolate ganache and oreo cookie mousse filling. This was for my son's fire explorer award ceremony.

Cupcake Fireplace With Christmas Stockings

Made this for my girl's 2nd grade classroom. Cupcakes covered in frosting. Made black specks with food coloring splattered with a toothbrush. Merry Christmas!!!

Second try at a monster truck. I maximized the tire size and used royal icing to pipe the details in stead of hand painting white on black fondant. This worked much better

Just Monkeying Around Diaper Bag

Made this for my cousin's daughter's baby shower. The monkeys were from a wilton's mold. All accessories are MMF including the banana pacifier. The bottle is candy melts and I used a bottle mold. The cake is all buttercream.

Pointsettia Gumpaste Flowers

A cake with lots of yummy fillings. I had some really nice gumpaste pieces that were taller than the flowers, but they broke while putting them on so that is why the yellow tissue is all alone. Opps. Happy Birthday Nonna

I got this idea from a Karate Gi I saw on CC. I added the clubs logo and an award. The characters are the two awesome married couple that run the club and were celebrating their 13 years of service. Way to go!!!

Jimmy Choo Fall Shoes

Fun class I took at a local cake shop. We learned how to make a box with panels and stripped tissue paper. The shoes were formed on a high heel cake server made by Wild Eye Designs. The cake server was an easy form and fund to use. I love kitchen gadgets.

Happy 34Th Hottie Cake

This was a cake for my sons friend's girlfriend. It is a simple heart cake with ganache filling. I loved the pearl silicone mold which made the pearls so much faster to apply. I added the feathers around the board for an additional sense of class for the character. I also like the black and white look of the second photo.

Boo To You, Pooh

I used the 3d Pooh pan from wilton. The pumkin bowl is made from the Wilton 3d mini pumpkin cupcake pan and gumpaste. My daughter, Gigi, made the pumpkin and cat for added detail. She is so daring.

Tombstone Before The Fall

This is a cake from a class I took last night. I thought my foundation was stable, but I guess it wasn't, because the cake didn't even make it to the dawn of the next day. I did redo the cake using the main structure and replaced the foundation.
