Parramatta Eels Football Shirt And Scarf
This is an Aussie football team shirt made for an 18th. I added the scarf at the last minute because I wanted it to have some additional wow factor, I love the scarf it's my favourite thing about the cake. Brownie whiskey cake with chocolate whiskey ganache buttercream, covered in fondant. I was told the cake was wolfed down and the other desserts hardly touched!

Power Ranger On Mountain
OK, this was the spec from my 7 year old nephew, I want a blue power ranger standing on a hill or a mountain, holding a flag or something...... So this is what he got! The only thing not edible is the 7! His hands and mouth went a yummy shade of blue, particularly after putting the power ranger's head in his mouth.... hmmmm what is it with 7 year olds!

Lilac And Gold Wedding Cake
Two tier offset square fruit cake, covered in marzipan & fondant with edible lilac blossoms, scrolls & butterflies, painted in edible gold. The couple are having an outdoors wedding and just wanted something relatively simple, the design is based on something seen in a magazine chosen by the client, but colours & shape changed. 1st time doweling, thank god the top tier hasn't moved & it's been there for 2 days! I don't know that I'm happy that the colours work together but I am a silver girl not gold.

Sprint Car
This is a sprint car for a 40th birthday modelled on the actual car the birthday boy has, lots of things learnt with this one. Some skewers and a some printed material not edible but everything else is including the actual wings. Big hit of the evening with many people shocked it was an actual cake. Almost a disaster when arrived at venue at wings came off but a quick save and repair kit on hand to get them back on, just thankful nothing broke! :D

Amber's Ivory Wedding Cake
This is a white choc &raspberry mud cake, covered in Ivory fondant with drapes & fake orchids provided by the bride. This is my first proper wedding cake, I was disappointed the cake table wasn't ready when I delivered, so I just had to set up where asked to and take pics, the restaurant were moving it later (eek). I had a multitude of issues with the cake and only hope the bride likes it, am thankful that the flowers and the right camera angle can hide a multitude of sins! 1st time doing drapes.

Barbie And Gift Bags
Here's my 2nd birthday cake the one for my family. This cake developed due to a mishap with the skirt, the barbie is actually all fondant and the gift bags are brownie cakes, individually personalised for family members, every gets to eat their own gift bag. Had a real ball with this, can't wait to see my nephews and nieces responses! :D

Barbie Baker
I get to make two birthday cakes for myself this year, this one's for work, off their tomorrow because of the long weekend, most folks are taking Friday as well for an extra long weekend. It's brownie cake skirt, and a 6 inch white mud for height. Airbrushed fondant dress, fondant apron with fondant accessories, and a monogramed cake. I even put a smudge of chocolate on her mouth, because that's how I usually look after baking, smudges and chocolate on my mouth giving the tasting gremlin away!

Ana's Chocolate Cake
This was made for a girlfriend's birthday. Brownie cake covered in white chocolate fondant with a marbled chocolate border. All chocolate accents are hand-made, white chocolate roses, with a chocolate teddy box filled and overflowing with chocolates that have fillings such as raspberry, strawberry and orange. A total chocoholic's dream! I of course had to make enough chocolates so as to sample and make sure they were ok! :D

Johnnie Walker Blue
Chocolate Mud cake covered in fondant, painted with a sponge. Labels are printed (non-edible) due to client request to have all the writing, which I wasn't confident in getting any other way in a short space of time. This is 46cm long, 7cm high and 16cm wide, so a pretty big cake!

Tennis Theme
Brownie cake tennis themed birthday cake for my niece. My take on the Carol Deacon version with inspiration from the cakes on here as well. The ball girl standing at the front is a family joke, because we call my niece goblin girl so I added the goblin ball girl in for a personal touch. The "advertisting" at the back of the court says Jessie's Eleven. The net is not edible.

Ariel
Client sent invitation and I created a template from the invitation for Ariel, I cut her out and put her together patchwork style. She was sitting on some rocks, so I add some blue background up top for sky or water. I traced her face on and then hand painted it. Mud cake. The inset picture is a close up of her top half.

Car Cake
OK, this was one of the hardest cakes I've ever done, and I'm only like 60% happy with it. Got to use my airbrush which was fun, but despite many hours spent on this I'm just not happy with the details as I hoped, but the positive side is that I learnt loads and have plenty of ideas for if I had to attempt one like this again. Brownie cake, covered in fondant with fondant, gumpaste and hand painted accents. We live and learn right!

Retirement Cake
Retirement cake for a co-worker who was a boiler maker most of his life, it was suggested some welding equipment would be appropriate, I thought a gold watch would be a funny addition as it's a government organisation so there's no way he'll be given a gold watch! Not 100% happy with everything but got some good lessons out of it, happy with the masculine feel to the cake. Brownie cake as usual, chocolate & white chocolate marbled fondant, chocolate fondant border & fondant & gumpaste accents and plaque.

Book Worm And Pop Up Bedroom
This is for my nephew he's turning 15 & is a pretty typical lazy teenager! :D He loves to read, play video games & sleep! He asked for a bookworm theme so I combined it with the bedroom idea cause I thought it really suited him, there are also some personal joke items, like the cat poo under the desk cause they have cats & the poo on toast on the bedside table cause it's a family joke when the kids ask what's for dinner to say poo on toast... & also a little story! Cake is brownie cake as usual!

Lightning Mcqueen
Oh no not another Lightning McQueen Car, never seen one of those before on this site! :D. Pretty happy seeing it's only my second attempt at a car ever, changed the number 95 to 5's to personalise the car for the birthday boys fifth birthday. Brownie cake covered in fondant with fondant and gumpaste accents. Got LOADS AND LOADS of inspiration from several mcqueen cars on this site mixed with a few pics I found on the net. So this is my interpretation! :D

Bingo!
LOVED making this one. Made for my sister's b'day. She likes games, and the bingo theme is an in joke. Her favourite chocolate is cadbury and boost bars, so I made those the prizes, and she likes diet coke and we are always snacking so I made a bowl of corn chips. About 75% of the balls are numbered with relevance, family birthday's etc. A table cloth in her fav colour purple. Brownie cake covered in white choc fondant with fondant and gumpaste accents. She loved it and to date it's one of my favs to!

Barbie Cake
First attempt! LOADS of inspiration from lots of pics on here. She's a real doll, in brownie cake, using a dolly varden and a further circle underneath. Covered in fondant, with fondant, ribbon roses and silver ball accents. This was harder than I expected for a first time cake, probably cause I didn't do a simple skirt, but felt the need to add the panel! Surprise birthday gift, b'day girl was bowled over. I was very pleased for a 1st attempt!

Beer Glass
Just a second view of the beer cake with writing this time, the message is in polish as per customer request. The 50's are obviously to represent a 50th birthday I had planned to do a standing 50 in gold but it broke, so at the last minute I used the numbers that matched the text and used a multiple pattern effect to help even out the sides, I think it worked well.

Beer Glass
Both layers brownie cake. Everything edible except the logo, that includes the gold rope and letters, all gold paint edible. Bottom layer covered in a marbled normal and chocolate fondant, glass covered in white choc fondant and painted, soft fluffy icing. Very happy with the masculine look, it's easier to make a pretty cake for a female than it is at times to make a nice cake for a guy!

Wrestling Ring
A surprise birthday present for a Chris Benoit fan, ordered before the tragic events that recently took place. A brownie cake covered in fondant with marshmallow posts painted in black food colour and licorice straps as rope. Hand painted plaque, my first! Once side says WWE.COM, and the other says Happy Birthday Jeff (obviously the birthday boy). Bought figure, likely to become a collectors item! Marshmallow post idea inspired by cmmom's Wrestling Ring cake.
