Special Barbie Cake

I made this cake for a special little girl whose father just deployed for the Middle East. She loves barbies and polka dota. So, this is what I came up with. I was able to use by Cricut Cake for the Barbie cut-outs.

Dora And Boots

For a little girl who loves Dora. I printed out a picture of the two characters and pieced them together with fondant. I was inspired by many cakes here on CC.

Pink Daisy Wedding Cake

This was so fun to do! I made the gumpaste gerbera daisies to match the brides invite. Her colors were pink and orange. All the flowers are gumpaste.

Romantic Wedding Cake

This cake was designed to match the wedding invitation. The cake topper and the cascade of hearts and scrolls were made from gumpaste. The size of the cakes are 6, 8, and 10.

Very Hungry Caterpillar

This was definately a fun cake to do. This was for a little boy's first birthday. Cake is covered in fondant and all the accent pieces were modeled directly from the book. They are all fondant.

Dora At The Beach

I posted about this cake in the How do I forum a few days ago. Very challenging trying to get the right look for her head and to "prop" it up, but I did it. Used the ball pan for the beach ball, an 8inch and a pyrex bowl carved for the head, and then carved a 9x13 sheet for the body. The hands and legs are RKT.

Storm Trooper

Had a fun time making this cake. It's a strawberry/tahitian vanilla cake. I used one 6 in, three 8 in, and used carved pieces for the rounded part at the bottom and the mouth part.

Princess Book And Carriage

My customer found a picture of a cake like this here on CC so I don't know who the original artist is to give thanks to! This is an 11x15 sheet carved into an open book shape. Covered with Satin Ice with fondant accents. Rope is painted with gold luster dust. I ran out of time and had to use a styrofoam ball for the carriage.

Eclipse Book Cake

I looked at several Twilight cakes here on CC and got my inspiration. I decided to make this one an Eclipse book since the movie is about to come out. I alo wanted to tie in all the other book covers as well. 9x13 sheet cake covered in black Satin Ice. Fondant ribbon, chess pieces, and RKT apple. The flower is gumpaste. I tried used my new Cricut Cake for the wording since I have the Twilight font and SCAL, but I couldn't get it cut just right. I just ended up piping all the letters.

Chocolate Fondant Wedding Cake

I love working with satin ice chocolate fondant. It's like one big tootsie roll! The bride and groom wanted a chocolate wedding cake so this is what I came up with. The design on front is to match the bride's invitation that hard firework bursts and sparkles on it.

Black Scrolls Wedding Cake

Simple and elegant wedding cake. Tiers are 6, 9 12 inch rounds with buttercream and black scrolls.

Whimsical Wedding With Bling

I love this cake. The bottom 3 tiers are dummy and the top tier is chocolate with raspberry filling. The bride supplied me with the diamond ring and diamonds to place around the cake.

Indian Inspired Wedding Cake

This is for a bride and groom having an authentic Indian wedding ceremony. The brides colors are lime green, turquoise, and reddish orange. She sent me a picture of the pillow wedding cake from Cake Lava, and I used it as inspiration. The sizes are 6, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Lots of fun piping all the gold and using my new molds for the gold pieces!

Laura And Kobi's Wedding

I absolutely love this cake. I love it when a bride and groom trusts your creativity and lets you come up with a design. All the bride told me was her colors were hot pink, orange, with mint green as an accent. Well, this is what I came up with. The cake is covered in Michele Foster's fondant (which I love). The sizes are 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. The one layer 8 in and 12 in are considered the groom's cake. I think it turned out really well.

Graduation

This was fun to do. Cake iced in BC with fondant accents. The cap is made from fodant and tylose. Cutting all those little circles took forever. The circles are in the school's colors.

Snare Drum

This was a lot easier than I expected. Here is a 3D snare drum cake I carved into shape from a 12 inch round. Covered in fondant with fondant accents. Painted with silver luster dust to get the metal look.

Cupcake Wedding Tower

I love using this stand. I think it makes such a lasting impression. I made the BC to match the colors of the wedding, fuschia pink and lime green.

Beach Themed Wedding

The bride and groom wanted a cake to go with their beach themed wedding. This is what I came up with. It's a 6, 9, 12 round tiered cake with fondant accents. Crushed graham crackers on the tiers and cake board.

This is a 6, 9, 12 inch round tiered cake. Iced in BC with fondant accents.

1980's Themed Birthday Cake

This was so fun! The customer gave me several ideas of what to put on the cake and this is what I came up with. Everything is covered in fondant. The MTV logo is a RKT covered in fodant.

Whimsical Wedding

This was so much fun to do. I changed the bottom tier a little since the bride was transporting the cake a long way. She sent me a picture of what she wanted and told me the colors to use. Voila....my first whimsical, topsy turvy cake. A lot easier than I though. Covered with fondant with gumpaste decorations

Spongebob Krabby Patty

This is the cake I did for my son's 5th birthday. He absolutely loved the cake. Spongebob is a RKT covered in mmf. My son only wanted lettuce and cheese on his krabby patty and believe it or not, the cheese and lettuce were the most popular things the kids ate at the party. The banner is just a piece of carstock printed out and glued to a skewer.

Marine Corps 233Rd Birthday

My husband is a former Marine and celebrates the USMC birthday every year. This is the cake I did for him and mailed to in Saudi Arabia where he is currently deployed. It's just a one layer cake with bc and MMF. The EGA is gumpaste used in a mold and the letters are tappits. I hope it makes it to him in one piece.

Pink And Brown Baby Shower

This was a fun cake to do. It's all fondant, with fondant accents (Michele Foster's fondant to be exact). The bottom tier is chocolate fondant. I then painted with some super pearl luster dust for the shine. The cake was made to match the baby shower invitation which was brown and pink with circles. They are also going to have gerber daisies as decorations so I added those to the cake.

Fall Wedding Cake

This cake was inspired by another on this site, but I can't think for the life of me who it was. THANK YOU! The bride wanted to incorporate some fall colors and wanted the cake to be orange and ivory. I made the orange part to match a certain color she wanted. Anyway, it's a 6. 9 12 WASC with raspberry filling. The flowers are real. I also made some caramel apples along with apples decorated with chocolate to look like a bride and groom.
