Rainbow Birthday Cake
Buttercream covered with fondant accents. Bottom tier is vanilla with the rainbow batter. The temperature this day was over 100 so my buttercream was terrible!
I used large and a small pyrex bowls for the cake and a dismembered barbie for the dress form. I made Michele Fosters white chocolate fondant and royal icing for the dots. I have to thank Jenny for her wonderful tutorial on her blog. http://jennycrafts.blogspot.com/2008/10/here-comes-bride.html
Mothers Day Flower Bouquet
Last minute mothers day cake. Carrot cake baked in a pyrex bowl for top and loaf pan for bottom. Buttercream swirl flowers and leaves and fondant stems. Gumpaste bow!
Bridal Shower Topsy-Turvy
Red and Black topsy turvy bridal shower cake. Covered in buttercream with fondant accents. The bride to be added the bride dragging the groom topper later. This was a fun cake, but the temperature was 93 degrees and I was having lots of buttercream problems.
Gumpaste Calla Lilly
My 1st try at making a Gumpaste Calla Lilly! Thanks Edna for your wonderful tutorial!
Baby Block Cake!
The idea of this cake was great, but I had to do it in like 12 hrs because the first cake that I made (that took me 3 days and was beautiful) had an accident so this is what I threw together at the last minute and it sucks!
I used 2 Pyrex bowls and tip #233 for icing body. Twizzlers cut at an angle for legs and candy corn for teeth.
This was my first cake that was actually supposed to look like something for my son's 2nd B-day. Iced with buttercream. Spots are sprinkles, tongue is a Air Head candy nuked in the microwave and shaped. For the nose I printed it on card stock and cut it out to make a stencil! Hope you like it!
