The internal structure was only in the very front of the dog. PVC Pipe ran from the left leg, across the chest, down the right leg. It also had a "T" in the middle of the chest with a small piece of pipe to attach a small styrofoam ball for the head. Then, I used modeling chocolate to sculpt the head and the chest and the legs. The body is cake. And then it's all covered in chocolate. I also took an exacto knife and scored hair on his body. That took a loooooong time but it looked awesome.
This cake tells a story about my friends son. He's graduating from High School and his dad told me this to inspire me for the cake. Him and his friends almost burned down the house by burning grass with a magnifying glass. The fire marshall gave them a warning. The boy can drive, he just can't stop. He's had many car wrecks.
This isn't really a bridal shower cake. It's for my friends niece. She's graduating from High School. However, I couldn't find a better gallery to put it in. The flowers are cake bites and the petals are modeling chocolate.

The cake was placed on a styrofoam wedge so that it would look like it is going around a track. The angle was a bit precarious but the effect was awesome.

This cake was for my childrens' babysitter. It's my first time sculpting the edge of the cake like this. I need some more practice. But at least now I know what I would do differently.
This cake was made for my son's 5th birthday. The Krabby Patty is the cake and Spongebob is made out of my RKT & Modeling Chocolate mixture. The hand that is in the air will be holding a balloon. Can you see Plankton hugging the Patty?
This cake was for my pastor. His dad gave him this truck many years ago. And now he has a cake of it on his birthday. Update: I just found out that someone stuck their thumb through the windshield before my pastor could see it. HOW MEAN!!
Gosh, I wish I knew who the original designer is. I made this cake using a picture I have but I don't know where I got it from. So if anyone knows, please mention it in a comment.
Amazingly, this cake was only for 8 servings. The rest of the body was Modeling chocolate mixed with RKT. It is huge and heavy. I measured him... he's 2' 4" Long and about 15" tall at the tail.
This cake was made so that it can rest on an easel.

I threw this cake together for a church potluck. I was going to make french fries but, I admit, I procrastinated and didn't do them. My husband asked me if I thought it were Christian to deceive church folk with a cake that looks like a cheeseburger. :) hehehehehe
I just wanted to play around with my home made fondant and new tools I bought from a cake art store. :) The cake is a white chocolate pistachio cake with white chocolate butter filling. YUMMY
