My dad's 67th is today and so we decided to do a chocolate cake with almond buttercream. Made fish from RKT and covered it in fondant. The fondant was skin color that I had here so I brushed it with green powder color mixed with ultra white, grape luster dust and super gold luster dust. My first fish so I am pretty happy with how it turned out (especially not having an airbrush machine)

Customer ordered 3 cakes for this week. This one is for a 1 yr old. She said pink and girly, so this is what I did. Over 100 gumpaste blossoms. Gumpaste tiara and bow.
This cake was so pretty. Fondant covered sprayed with pearl dust gumpaste roses I dusted and sprayed with pearl dust as well. Just gorgeous. Then.....the hotel staff messed with it! It was horrible. It ended up toppling over and I had to try to repair it during the reception. It was vanilla on bottom, chocolate in middle and red velvet on top. It still tasted great!
This is for the daughter of a lady from a radio station in our area (103.7 fm). She is going to Averette University to play volley ball so she wanted it made in the colors of the college. Chocolate cake, raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream. Fondant accents.
I used a toy I found for this cake. I took it apart since the little girl wanted pink and purple in her cake.

For going away party. They said the guy loves hooters so we did the hooters girl. MMF covered. Hand painted.
Cookie monster smash cake. Did with grass tip and fondant for mouth and eyes. The cookies are mini chips ahoy. 6 inch cake. Have a larger Cookie monster still to do that will go with it.
I did this for my nieces wedding. There was a little conflict on the cake thing and they called me Thursday night for this for Saturday. I am glad I did it. I do love her very much and she was so happy I bailed her out when the other baker who was suppose to do her tower backed out last minute. They are Vanilla and Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

This was my first display cake. They are displaying it at the Art Crawl tonight. My husband came up with a GREAT way for me just to reuse this without a lot of trouble. He took my styro dummies and covered them in sheetrock mud, sanded it and painted it. It is washable so now all I have to do is take the decorations off and redo it! I was so happy with how this turned out! The pic is not very good but it has pretty rhinestones all over it and in the flowers.

This cake I have made for a big event in Charlotte NC tomorrow. ESPN contacted me wanting a cake in the ESPNU logo for their 5th anniversary. They are having a huge media event tomorrow where I will present the cake to the Mayor of Charlotte and the VIPs of ESPN. As well as the media. I am so happy it is done...I have spent some long nights doing it but am soooo happy with the outcome.
