Safari Themed Jungle Birthday Cake
This is a birthday cake I made for my niece's safari themed party. The tree, sign and animals were all made from modeling chocolate. The bamboo pieces were made from gumpaste. The leopard print was hand painted and the zebra stripes were made from thin pieces of fondant. The leaves on the tree were RKT.

Doctor Who Birthday Cake That Glows In The Dark
This is a Doctor Who cake that I made for my daughter's birthday. Everything is edible except for the plastic tube coming out of the top of the control panel that is filled with glow sticks so it lights up in the dark.

These are melted snowman cookies. I used melted chocolate for the arms, fondant for the scarves, modeling chocolate for the noses and confetti sprinkles for the buttons. The heads are marshmallows that I melted in the microwave for a few seconds.
Vintage Vw Bug On Beach With Sunset Backdrop
This is a vintage VW Bug cake, sculpted and covered in fondant. The surfboard is made from gumpaste. The sunset backdrop is a cake board covered in fondant with modeling chocolate palm trees attached to it. I used Mike McCarey's DVD, "Cakenology" as a guide in making this cake.

This was a graduation cake I made for a friend. She designed it. It was a book of her life with all her favorite things on one side (including Justin Bieber) and a big ? on the other to symbolize her unknown future. All the figurines are made in modeling chocolate and the pictures around the cake are printed on edible paper.
This is a cake I made that looks and tastes like watermelon. It is watermelon flavored and has chocolate chips for the seeds. The rind is hand painted with food coloring and petal dust.

This is a ladybug cake and daisy cupcakes that I made for my niece's 4th birthday. Everything is edible except for the wire antenna on the ladybug. The daisies are made of fondant and the little ladybugs on the cupcakes are M&Ms colored with food writer marker.
40Th Anniversary Camper Cake
This is a cake I made for my parent's 40th anniversary. This cake is special because they bought this truck and camper right after they got married and they still have it. Whenever anyone teases my dad about still owning them he always says "Well, I still have the same wife too." That truck and camper really symbolize their marriage to me. The figures are made with modeling chocolate and the truck and camper is all cake. The grass is dyed coconut.
White Baptism Cake
This is a baptism cake I made for my niece and nephew's baptism. The plaque and cross are made from gumpaste. The flowers were made from fondant, using a hydrangea cutter and veiner. The angled part on the bottom is styrofoam that I ran through my scroll saw to get a perfect angle, then covered in fondant.
Leg Lamp Christmas Birthday Cake
My brother's birthday is on Christmas day and we always loved the movie A Christmas Story when we were kids so I made him this birthday cake this year. It even lit up like a real lamp. The shade is made of cake covered with gumpaste and fondant and the leg is RKT covered in modeling chocolate. A pipe runs up the middle of the leg for support.
House On Fire Gingerbread House
This is my 2010 entry for our local Gingerbread contest. This is a house that is on fire. You can't see the lighting in the picture but it had flickering red lights inside to look like flames and the firetruck lights blinked and rotated and the spot light shined on the girl. I won 1st place. It was a tribute to my dad and brother who were both firefighters.
Hamster On A Piano Cake
For her birthday, my daughter told me she wanted her cake to be a "mini baby grand piano with Winnie (her hamster) sitting on it and playing a shiny pink guitar." This is what I came up with. She loved it! The piano is cake and covered in fondant and gum paste. The hamster is modeled from modeling chocolate and the guitar is made from gum paste.
Sport Theme Baby Shower Cake
This was for my friend's baby shower. The basketball is RKT and the shoes, stars and pacifier are gumpaste. Much thanks to stellarstarchild for the template for the shoes. Everything else is fondant.
Little Lamb Baby Shower Cake
This is a baby shower cake I did for a friend. I used the invitations for inspiration. The sheep is RKT covered in fondant balls.
Monkeys Jumping On The Bed
This was for my daughter's birthday. She loves monkeys so we had a monkey party with these monkeys jumping on the bed. The bed is made of fondant and gumpaste. The monkeys are buttercream. I used a mini bear 3D pan and then altered it to make the monkeys.
John Deere Tractor Cake
This was my entry in our county fair. It won the purple ribbon. It is all fondant and gumpaste. The dirt is crushed cookie crumbs.
125Th Anniversary Cake
This was for my church's 125th anniversary celebration. It is hard to tell in this photo but this cake was quite large, about 20x30. The church is all fondant, with butterscotch windows and the signs were done in gumpaste. There is also a gumpaste chimney on the other side of the roof that you can just barely see.
